I recently visited Boomerang Coffee with high hopes of enjoying a pleasant coffee and breakfast experience, but unfortunately, my visit turned out to be quite disappointing. The inconsistency in the quality of their beverages and the lack of resolution from the management have left me with a sour taste in my mouth.
One of the major issues I encountered at Boomerang Coffee is the glaring inconsistency between baristas. Each time I visited, I noticed a significant variation in the taste and preparation of my drinks. This inconsistency was not only frustrating but also made it difficult to rely on the quality of their beverages. Despite bringing up this concern with the shop, it seems that no action has been taken to rectify the issue, which is disappointing and shows a lack of commitment to customer satisfaction.
During my most recent visit, I encountered a particularly unpleasant incident. I ordered a drink and discovered a mouthful of separated butter. I immediately brought this issue to the attention of the barista, who confirmed the presence of butter in the drink. This incident was not only off-putting but also raises concerns about the overall hygiene and quality control practices in the establishment.
Regrettably, the final straw for me was the discovery of a hair in my breakfast sandwich. Finding a foreign object in my food is not only unappetizing but also raises serious questions about the cleanliness and food handling practices at Boomerang Coffee. It's incredibly disappointing that such a basic yet crucial aspect of running a food establishment seems to have been overlooked.
Overall, my experience at Boomerang Coffee was marred by the continued inconsistency in the drinks and the discovery of a hair in my breakfast sandwich. The lack of resolution from the staff regarding these issues has left me with a strong sense of disappointment and a reluctance to return. I hope that the management takes these concerns seriously and implements the necessary changes to provide a better and more consistent experience for their customers...
Read moreThis is definitely a gift for all of us here in Midland (out of towner's come visit!). I've had enough of the usual coffee shops and this one fits just right.
They offer coffees, teas and deliciously made food along with pastries. I've only had the brewed coffee with my food but yummy!
My first visit I had the Zesty Goat. Can I say yummy too many times in this review!? It's sweet so the black coffee went perfectly. I couldn't finish it but had the rest for dessert that night.
My second visit I ordered the All Nighter wrap, oh so delicious!
I'm coming next week with a friend and I want to try a coffee flight which looks enticing.
The menu isn't large but it is varied. I appreciate the fact they serve real food along with pastries and I believe most, if not all, is baked or cooked on site. Both items I've had were freshly made and a nice portion size.
The brewed coffee, since I was sitting inside, came with my own carafe of coffee for refills... just enough for my meal plus a cup or two while reading 😁
It's small inside with two tables, a desk area with one chair, two chairs tucked under the staircase and a bar with three stools. The atmosphere is calm and serene with nice touches of nature (albeit fake). I heard them say they were going to add another table though.
The staff, my first visit was the owners and my second visit two delightful young ladies, are very friendly and ready to serve.
I'm so looking forward to many more visits here, not only for the coffee but the food and atmosphere as well.
Stop by and try them out. Parking is right in front or on the circle. It's worth figuring out the whole circle thing...
Read moreMidland is my hometown, however, I live out of town now. I love to support all of the local coffee shops in the tri-cities, including Boomerang when I’m having a sweet tooth because their baked goods are awesome. So when I’m in town, I try to swing by.
Unfortunately, the last few times service has been unpleasant. Today really made me feel like I shouldn’t have stopped in for a drink and baked good, I was originally planning on stopping at Liveoak.
I’m a barista myself, going on 4 years with experience in a couple different coffee shops, and the most important thing is customer service. Make sure customers feel welcome.
So even though I work behind a coffee bar all day, stopping in somewhere else for a fun specialty latte is always a highlight in my day. Today, not so much. I felt like the employee at the register was annoyed with me because I was asking about a drink on the menu. I haven’t stopped in in a while and was curious about the new June drinks and couldn’t decide on which one to try. I quickly went to being excited about stopping in, to maybe I shouldn’t come back anymore.
Working in the same industry, I understand how demanding being barista can actually be. However, being kind and pleasant goes a long way and is just so important, really in any customer service position.
I would love to update my post to 5 stars, hopefully my next visit will be more welcoming. The coffee is wonderful, the baked goods and food are also...
