Kroger — Local services in Midland

My soon to be stepdaughter is on the spectrum (autism) and enjoys spicy food. She will refuse to eat sometimes unless it's Curry, spicy Ramen cup noodles, or boards head chipotle chicken. She had a meltdown at Thanksgiving the other day, not only that but our friends we spent time with used something she is allergic to in the recipe. This was my fault for not warning them, but it resulted in me and my fiance going to kroger to pick up some deli meat. It was 2:15 and they were supposed to close at 4.

I'm really upset because the woman Who was working behind the deli counter fully looked me in the eyes when we walked up, continued doing whst she was doing for about another 2 or 3 minutes. Then asked what we needed. We asked for the boars head and she sighed and said "I literally just put that away, is there anything else instead?"

Like... what in the actual heck. Kroger is overpriced as it is and we spend upwards of $700 there biweekly...

It is safe to say unless she is gone we are never ever coming back. This is not the first time she and other deli associates have acted this way too but this was the last straw... it was Thanksgiving. Seriously???? I worked at a deli in Manhattan growing up and let me tell you... would never have flown.

Anyways.. we Just found family fare supermarket next to soldans which is just.. chefs kiss. So much better. So thank you to them at least, for helping Keeley with her...

I would give them 5 stars, however, after my experience today at the deli counter they will not get that last star. The two old ladies behind the counter spent 30 minutes waiting on one woman. I was there with my 6 year old daughter to pick up some of their fried chicken. After 20 minutes I tried to call out to see if just one of them could help me and they decided to ignore me. I finally gave up and left. I spoke with a supervisor regarding the matter, who profusely apologized. I witnessed two others walk away out of frustration. While I was at checkout one of the other customers that also gave up waiting made sure to point out to me they were still waiting on the same woman. Total time spent on her was 45 minutes at least. I shop here regularly and normally don’t encounter issues. There was no need for the only two workers there to provide service to just ONE woman. I recommend you train your workers better when it comes to customer service. You could also allow customers to pull a number rather than just stand and hope we get noticed. To Janis, the manager, you were very sympathetic to my experience and honestly you are the reason I don’t boycott the store entirely! To the two hags running the deli counter today, may you be treated the way you treated me, ignored and regarded as irrelevant. Clearly you don’t understand the meaning of customer service and taking pride in your work. I will pray...

First off, this Kroger should buy out the Kmart building and have more space. That said, i want to give a shout out to the spectacular people who work my local Kroger. Just today, i was on a mega supply run and Tina brought me a second cart and helped drive it toward door. I love this Kroger so much that i use to pull into the parking lot and forget why, just to visit. Yes. The pharmacy is so outdated i actually feel sorry for them. Yes. The entry way is so grimy and lackluster it needs a legit face lift. Thing is, I go there about every day. I know Samantha in floral has the same birthday as me, I know Mike at customer service was moving to Colorado and there were issues with leaving his last family member behind. I know that every one loves Mitch. Mitch is the manager and you can tell that not only is that guy super friendly, but a truly good person. There was a manager in an inflatable cow suit one Halloween and it was immensely charming. I forgot how much i loved my local Kroger until I really needed supplies today. I was so happy to get the Kroger cheese and rice (finally!!), the cottage cheese, the Private Selection Sourdough for $1.99. I luv you guys.
