Big Apple Bagels — Restaurant in Midland

Used to be one of my favorite places, but over the past couple years, the employees running the register seem to be incompetent, and can't seem to get the simplest orders correct.

Today my order was incorrect, I went back into the store, some old man started making a huge fuss that he was next in line and ordered me to keep 6' from him (which I was). The incompetent woman/manager whom took my order (1 bagel with cream cheese), fixed my order. I began to walk out, old man Liberal Democrat started screaming at me again telling me to stay back or he would call the police, and the manager started yelling at me too! All the while, I kept my distance, with a mask on...

I will never be back to this store. I have been a customer of this store for 20 years or more. Horrible...

I would give them zero stars if that were an option, because I will never go there again. There was a big piece of plexiglass hanging between the worker at the counter and myself, plus it was rather loud in there. So I had to give her my order twice, because she kept saying she couldn't hear me. She still couldn't understand me, so I pulled my mask down a little so she could see my mouth moving and maybe help her see what I was trying to order, and she yelled at me. I have no issues wearing a mask for your safety, but pulling it down for 20 seconds to help you understand my order, through a piece of plexiglass, because you can't hear me repeatedly giving you my order, in your noisy deli, does not warrant yelling at me like...

It has been a long time since I have been to a Big Apple Bagels and sadly it will probably be my last.

The staff were friendly and all which was great but the cost of a luke warm bagel has turned me off. A bagel with cream cheese was around $3.50 ish. I asked for the bagel to be toasted and I did see the bagel go in the machine; however, when I got to where I was going to eat it the bagel was just luke warm and barely toasted. I also miss the berry cream cheese they used to have.
