Gigante International Market — Local services in Milford

How do I take away the 1 star!! I've been in this store many times. It just gets like OMG and seriously! I'm looking for an item that they only carry so I'm in about 2x a week. I walk there with a rolling shopping cart sometimes. One day as I'm entering with my cart filled with purchases from another store and I'm doing my shopping, as I've done many times before, some employee comes up and grabs my cart telling me over and over that I have to leave it over somewhere. I could barely understand her English and I said take your hands off my cart please. I have been doing this for a while and if you need to see my receipt when I go it won't be a problem. My phone and wallet was inside of one of the bags! She was way rude! I left my cart with a friend because as I said I walked! If I was driving it would have been a different story! The stock of every day staples..i.e. milk and bread you are lucky if the freshness or sell by date...

Very overpriced! I would go back maybe for several items that you can’t find in your typical grocery store but that’s it. I couldn’t believe the prices especially produce! Avocados were nearly $3 for one! I went down the street to Aldi where they were only $.59 apiece. Half of the tortillas were expired. Over $4 for the same bag I can find at Walmart for about 70% cheaper. There wasn’t a big Asian selection , which is what I went in for. There’s also no price tags on many of the items which was strange because I wouldn’t have bought probably several of the items that I had if I had known the price. For shredded Mexican cheese was $8.99 a bag? Walmart carries that same...

An excellent place to get hard to find Hispanic food in this area ( including some epic Tamarind paste candy I've not seen anywhere north of Texas until now ). Id say thier selection is probably the largest on Delmarva, but their prices ( particularly on produce ) are quite reasonable. In addition to a ton of Hispanic products, they also carry an eclectic mix of Asian products, such a Miso paste, which are equally difficult to find in this area. My only complaint would be thier baked goods have been stale everytime I purchase them, but all things considered I'd definitely reccomend...
