Dolce Bakery and Coffee Shop — Restaurant in Milford

I didn't love it. Pros: cappuccinos were hot and tasty, egg and cheese was ok, order taker was friendly, acai bowl allows unlimited toppings. Cons: $36 for 1 small and 1 medium cappuccino, an egg and cheese on upgraded bread and an acai bowl. We waited 15 min for the food. They put coconut on the bowl so I brought it back and explained it was added in error. No apology or, that she would get right on it. I was friendly and non threatening, mistakes happen but an apology or show of concern goes a long way. 12 minutes later I got a remade one. Now I know that acai bowls can be served frozen but it makes it impossible to mix or eat. We left since he was done eating, our necks were sweating, and it was too frozen to eat. So after waiting 25 min for the bowl I had to wait another 30 min for it to be thawed enough to eat it. It was fresh but too much work to enjoy. They should also invest in a window shade. Sitting inside, the sun will either blind you if you sit on the sofa or burn your neck if you sit in the chairs. There are benches outside but no tables if you have coffee and food. There was a steady stream of people in there, so others must have found it more enjoyable...

I first visited dolce a few months ago and got hooked on their specialty coffee and açaí bowls. When we decided on a small, intimate wedding and wanted to stay local, Dolce was the first spot I thought of for our wedding desserts. I reached out to them and they were more than accommodating! I wound up purchasing a dozen cupcakes in their Red Velvet flavor, their Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup flavor, and then requested a banana’s foster flavor, which they were also able to accommodate. I mean LOOK at the beauty and skill that went in to just the looks of the cupcakes alone! Let me tell you, the taste is even better. Heavenly and moist and flavorful…everything you can ask a cupcake to be. If you are local to Milford or even just passing through, do yourself a favor and check out Dolce. If you see something that looks good to you, I guarantee that it will be everything you were...

We ventured out to enjoy the 1st Milford Downtown Bakery tour and gave this local business one more chance to put its best presentation on display. Unfortunately once again interaction with the staff left us not wanting to return. The store was extremely busy, but all of the customers were happy to wait in the rain, knowing the event would draw a crowd. The disappointment was from the lack of interest/enthusiasm from the individual at the counter taking orders from customers. The event was something you signed up for, advertised and asked people to support. At the very least act like you wanted to be there, because your demeanor made it absolutely clear you would have preferred to be anywhere else this morning. Sadly that is the same greeting I've received each time I've ordered from your business. I hope your day...
