Let me start by saying we registered with target for our baby shower after being told how easy it was to swap things out in store if we didnt like them. That's not correct. The employees I dealt with are entirely too scripted. They need a lesson in connecting with customers. After spending thousands of dollars at target on supplies for our newborn we were told we were only eligible for a gift card and received only a portion of the total money back. I am still stuck with items I dont want because target wouldn't allow me to swap them for a different brand and pay the difference. The representative told me repeatedly that the items I returned were not sold by target yet when we logged into the registry app, we discovered they in fact did come from our registry. At this point they did return 7 of the 9 packages and told me the others were not sold by target. Those items were a package of Luvs diapers and a package of huggies wipes. Oddly I found them on the shelves for sale in that very store that day. I will never be returning to a target location after this experience. Sorry guys, but in this day and age where Amazon is king, we are looking for a human connection when shopping in b+m stores. When I dont get that, I buy from whoever's cheapest and it's...
Read moreI’ve shopped at this Target loyally for the last 10 years but today, no more! Even after speaking to corporate Target, they assured me my return/exchange should have been honored.
I purchased a vacuum online through the store pick up. I got it home and set it up then noticed it didn’t work. Unfortunately because the box got recycled they can’t issue an exchange or return. My receipt shows I bought it just 6 days ago, has the serial number (to match with the vacuum) and all my contact information from the curbside pickup but they said without the box they couldn’t exchange it. Corporate Target filed a claim against this Target location because of its breach of policy. Unfortunately because it was a store pick up, they can’t help and even tried talking to the closing team lead Chris and he still refused to help despite it being within the legal return window and I offered everything (including serial number that matches the vacuum) and receipts.
What’s the point of a return policy, receipt and buying locally if you can’t return faulty goods?
No wonder Amazon and online venders are taking over. I’ll buy directly from the vender moving forward and I won’t be shopping at this Target...
Read moreI give up on Target, they are having difficulty finding their demographic but I doubt it will include me. I formerly considered Target a more-comfortable alternative to Walmart for those that are less price-sensitive - you paid a little more but it was a nicer shopping experience. Now they appear to be reducing staff without regard to the shopping experience and you can readily see the results. The checkout process is unbearable and their motives transparent - I feel like cattle being conditioned to stand in line for a self-checkout experience. Today I went to one of the two long lined human checkouts but wound up walking out leaving my intended purchases on the belt. The register was closed on me awaiting a price-check on clearance stuff. For now, I am skipping Target. Maybe I will check back in the future but I think they have gone the wrong direction and are no longer a step up from any other...
