Pretty frustrating experience. I work in Bellingham as a dispatch coordinator and have to be on my laptop nonstop. I ordered delivery to my office and an older woman said there is a 3 mile delivery cap but since it was in Bellingham it would be ok, they’ll be there in 25 minutes. I’m ecstatic because I’m STARVING, I haven’t eaten anything since breakfast (this interaction started around 545). 20 minutes later someone else, a man, calls me and says they are going to cancel the order because it was too far (3.5 miles). I said no worries, I’ll just come pick it up because I’m so hungry and I don’t want to go through the trouble of ordering takeout again with another restaurant. I pack up my stuff and drive 12 minutes (speeding because I’m still working) to pick up my food. The office is closed and I can’t get back in so i decide I’ll eat at the restaurant. I get there and they said no I cant eat there without service. I said no worries I’ll have some drinks as I have to pop open my laptop and get back to work because I have nowhere else to go. The older man says no it’s not happening. I left feeling pretty sad, because now I’ve missed at least 30 minutes of work and they couldn’t be even a little bit accommodating. I’ve worked in restaurants for 4 years (including during Covid) and I would never refuse this kind of service to a customer. Seems like your takeout and delivery customers don’t matter to you as much as in house guests do, which doesn’t make sense as we’re still paying the same amount of money. Anyway I decide I’m going to eat and work in my car like a homeless person (because I live 45 min away). All of my food is really cold and the salmon seems old (slimy, warm, too soft for comfort). The scallion pancakes should also be more flaky. I’m not mad, I don’t even think I would leave a review if I was angry. I’m just really sad, and that’s why you’re getting this one star. I never even write reviews, check my profile. No customer should be this disappointed in your service. S/o to the young boy at the host stand and the young girl who took my order over the phone, give them a raise!...
Read moreI have been a customer of Mandarin Milford for 6 years. Tonight, I experienced horrible customer service. I placed an order for pick up and when I got home and unpacked the food I discovered that I received vegetable tempura rather than the shrimp tempura. I called and asked if they could refund my card for just the shrimp not the entire order. The woman on the phone said she was aware I placed and order for shrimp (she took the order) but when I told her there was a mistake she was short with me and insisted that they could not refund my card for the shrimp. Again I was not asking for a full refund just for the shrimp. She said I could drive back and pick up the correct order or the next time I come in I could give my phone number and they would provide the shrimp at no cost. I asked how a credit in the future would work and she said she would write down my number and the credit would be associated with my phone number. That doesn't sound honest or something that a customer should have to do to receive a refund for an incorrect pick up order. I said I lived 15 minutes away and would just prefer a credit to my card and that I could give her my card number of the phone for the credit. She was rude and said she couldn't refund my card and the credit for a future order was the only resolution. Over less than a $15 app. all it took was rude customer service and I will never bother giving them our business again. The pick up order tonight was average at best and spoiled by the experience. Reading from other reviews this location is under new management which is a shame. The former management all the years I was a customer was amazing and ran a tight ship. There are plenty of places in the area that provide good food (even deliver) and are trained with the proper customer service. It also takes less than one minute to refund a...
Read morethey made this review pretty easy
arrived and was greeted proper and friendly...seated quickly (for a friday night) was just me and my wife initially.
1st strike...sat 15 minutes before being greeted by server.
2nd strike...waitress attitude when voicing my sarcastic "oh hi, there you are" greeting (again, after sitting for 15 minutes)
3rd strike...ordered 2 Mai Tai for me and my wife...drinks came pretty quick but, this place gives new meaning to the theory of less product and higher price...let me explain.. as a bartender back in the early 2000's i was shown the method of illusion with a glass full of ice. this place took that to a whole new level....small cocktail glass, FULL of crushed ice (takes up way more volume than cubed ice) then a large lime wedge and 2 cherries....so, for $9.50...you are in essence only getting a mouthful of liquor..LITERALLY....basically a liquor flavored snow cone!!
4th strike...my wife ordered a Philadelphia maki roll...normally a good portion for two people, but, you guessed it, not in this place....for 9.50 for an appetizer roll, i was saddened by what the world has come to with restaraunts dumbing down portions and jacking up prices
so, a total of 6 mixed drinks and one pathetic little philly roll...the bill was 90 bucks!!!.... definitely coming to the end of my desire to go out and enjoy a couple drinks and appetizers.... for 90 bucks i can buy all ingredients to make 30 drinks and my own sushi rolls... would not recommend this place if you are seeking value...
