Blooming Hearts Roastery & Cafe — Restaurant in Milford

I've been here twice so far--the first time, I had a latte, which is my go-to drink, and it was very good! One of the better lattes I've had. Today though...I tried the cold brew. It was by far the best I've ever had. I've worked in several specialty coffee shops and go to local cafes and roasters wherever I go, and all of them pale in comparison to this. I didn't know cold brew could be so flavorful and smooth. It has me all up in my feelings! Coffee is one of my favorite things in this world, and I'm blown away by how perfect that cold brew is. I live in worcester, and generally only stop by when I'm in the area, but I'm definitely gonna have to find more reasons to be in the area so I can drink more of this phenomenal coffee. I'd give 10...

Great empanadas and coffee… Terrible service from the barista… As a roaster, you expect the highest level of drinks; I stopped in to grab a latte and pastry… Barista intentionally asked "is this to go" then proceeded to make the worst latte I've had in a long time… I asked her to remake it, to which she replied: "what was wrong with it? Was it too cold?" I replied, " microfoam" which a colleague of hers immediately echoed upon looking at the drink... I guess I didn't "look like the type" that visits small roasters to appreciate great coffee. She begrudgingly remade the drink With the same attitude and minimal effort… She knew she was giving me a subpar drink, and did not expect that I would know the difference ... shame on...

There aren't many high-quality coffee shops around providing third wave coffee, meaning freshly roasted beans , nice ceramic cups, not super dark roasts, and amazing baristas who know what they're doing ..... Blooming Hearts does all of this ! Great espresso, nice decaf offer, self-roasted beans for purchase (with roast-date!), nice pastries (sometimes -50% on day old but still good stuff), and the cutest book shelf for folks who want to browse while enjoying a coffee. The women who run the shop are also great, really kind and helpful. So glad this place exists in Milford :) worth a visit and...
