Would be 0 stars if i could. I originally ordered a bridesmaid dress on February 4th, 2024. I received my dress on the week of the 17th of June, 2024. When I received my dress It did not fit, it was about two sizes too small. The bride and I reached out to the owner of this company in hopes of getting a resolution. We originally reached a consensus to go to the boutique so I could get my dress measurements remeasured. I took time off work on June 20th to go to the boutique, the employee Elena took my measurements and found that they were the same from February. So despite my measurements being the same I still was left with a dress that did not fit properly. The dress did not zip up unless I wasn't wearing any undergarments, the pockets were completely wide open, my breasts were spilling out the top of the dress, as well as it being too tight on my hips where you could not see the detailing of the pleats in the dress. The owner of this business was not present at the re-measurement due to an injury. Our exchange was through email back and forth where the only options she provided me with was to "possibly" acquire more fabric for the dress for alterations, or try to "let out" the dress to "give me the relief I need".
During this exchange I asked the owner if we could order the same dress in two sizes up. Her response was that the fastest she could get a new dress was in 5 weeks, so that "would not work." When I questioned why this timeline would not work, despite the wedding being 6 weeks away - communication stopped as she said she felt uncomfortable moving forward on an email chain, and told me to call her cell phone.
I did not call because I did not feel comfortable not having documentation of our conversation. As a plus size woman, I was forced to pay for a dress that did not fit; I feel cheated. In the end I was never helped by this business and they did not provide me with any real solution. The bride and I found another boutique that expedited the dress to us on time for the wedding.

I was seeing the same selection of dresses at almost every location and receiving ridiculous amounts of pressure by sales staff to buy dresses that I did not feel were "the one." From my initial call with the owner, Deryn, I was truly blown away by the level of care and attention I received from the staff at Penny Jane Bridal. The day before my appointment, she called me to understand more about my preferences. We probably spoke for an hour at length and I really appreciated this personalized touch. The next day, she had a fantastic variety of UNIQUE dresses for me to try on - all of which very clearly took into account what I had shared with her on the phone. She is really such a sweetheart and helped me find my perfect dress from their private label. This is where I think they surpass other shops. There is really something here for everyone whether you want a traditional or more extravagant wedding gown. They also have an adorable section for “little white dresses” (where I selected my rehearsal dinner dress), jewelry, and bridesmaid/mother-of-bride dresses. Both my mom and grandma ended up coming back here and finding the most stunning, non-traditional dresses. When it comes to cost, everything is really relatively affordable compared to many other stores without sacrificing quality.    Read morePenny Jane is a hidden gem , nestled in an area where you wouldnt expect to find a bridal shop. They have a beautiful selection of dresses to fit many tastes. The most rewarding piece is the staff, in particular our stylist Haley Marra. I was beaming when my future daughter in law Tracy asked me to join her mom, her maid of honor & a few of her bridesmaids for her very first attempt to find "the dress". We arrived to Penny Jane & were met by Haley & the staff she is training. Haley is headed back to college out of state in 2 weeks which I realized at the end of our 2 hour experience is a HUGE loss for this bridal shop. Haley has not been working their very long but we would not have realized this until she mentioned it. You can immediately see the incredible passion she has for the business. She took complete charge, is extremely organized & has an amazing eye for what would look good on the future bride versus what would not. At the beginning of our appointment Haley spent time with Tracy to understand every aspect of the wedding venue, knowing how important the dress ties into that. She gently guided Tracy throughout the process & made the experience a day to remember. Tracy looked beautiful in every dress she tried on but when she walked out with that one "made for her" special dress their were unanimous tears amongst everyone including Tracy.
