Communication is vital with this type of service. Although the technicians were kind, they don't speak but very few words of english. My experience at the Millcreek location was awful. The eldest gentleman and his, {son?}, did my ManiPedi. And although a terrible experience, (from start to finish), it wouldn't have been as terrible if I weren't type 1 diabetic. ("I know, I know, I shouldn't risk it!") I told the "eldest" this as he handed me a Coke and a dish of Salt Water Taffy. He didn't understand. Also, I didn't notice until after Eldest started filing, that it was a used nail file! Dummy me, I didn't say anything. My toe cuticle was cut and bleeding, and not tended to for approx 4 min.. The son? did the wax for my feet and hands. They put the "Hot" wax in what looks like produce bags. The {son} didn't check the temp and burned my foot. As I yelled in pain to get it off my foot, he instead added water from the foot bath š³ which defeated the purpose of the wax. The nail filing job was uneven, but with this, I said something. As eldest painted, using the "portable UV thing," he continued to hit my wet polish with it. The UV also gave a very uncomfortable burning sensation on finger and toe nails. My sis was with me and she experienced the same burning sensation on finger and toe nails. Now, for the cost of a reg. ManiPedi, you do get a deluxe treatment. We did, anyway. The technicians were very kind, (eldest was quite frustrated with me by end of session). There again, communication is vital! And as I stated earlier, they do not speak English. So, would I recommend this salon? A thousand times NO! If you're wondering if I tipped them, I did. And, I might add,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreYikes, yikes, yikes. Iām not going to start off being completely negative. My mom got a great full set from this place, I think it depends on you get as a nail stylist! On the other hand, I got screwed.... I didnāt receive his name, but i think he was either the owner or manager of the location. I asked for a round full set, that had different pastel colors on each finger, and to be topped off with a Matte top coat. By the end result, it was chunky, streaky, and uneven. Half of my finger nail didnāt even get acrylic and it was crooked along with having a pointed shape. (Which he said was my fault) He smudged the nails and layered it back on with nail polish making it more chunky. He was very rough and hurt me and blamed me for not being relaxed. By the end he knew it didnāt look well and offered to layer more chunky polish on which I declined.
Went outside and he came back and offered to redo them, which I agreed. I went for a basic color with a regular topcoat and asked to fix the shape. By the end I still received the same result. It was so thick it wasnāt even dry by the time I took a shower that night. I had to end up getting them fixed at a different place, which ended up costing me the price of two full sets.
Iāve seen my friends get good sets here, Iām not saying they suck completely. Just find the right girl there, and youāll be good. But I wouldnāt expect anything fancy from them.
side note A mother and a daughter worked there together, they argued and ended up grabbing each other by the hair and getting into a full fight there, in front of all the customers, and a lot of people had their kids with them! The environment of the place...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWent here about a month ago to get a full and a pedicure. I had called prior to see if they could get me in, or if I needed to make an appointment and they said to come right in. Soon as I got there they had me waiting almost 30 min. Finally get me over to start a pedicure and she starts to fill the tub and walks away. It keeps filling ..and filling⦠nobody comes back even after Iād been trying to get someoneās attention to turn the water off. Of course it starts to overflow and basically everybody sitting next to me has to start hollering before someone came to shut it off and clean up the mess it caused. The pedicure finally gets started after the clean up and completed fine, I guess⦠but Iād noticed she didnāt really pay too much attention to my cuticles as I get really bad and constant ingrown nails that always have to be removed. She paid no mind to them whatsoever.
Then we go start my gel fill. This was quite possibly the worst fill I have ever had. Uneven, too thick. I even had to ask her to paint some areas better because sheād missed HUGE chunks along the sides. Fast forward to today. I go to get a new fill at my usual salon and she starts to file down. We discover that the previous fill was not properly sealed. Iād had water trapped under my nail that was trapping who knows what! I will NEVER come to this place again. Worst service I have...
