Diverse selection, affordable produce, amazing Tostadas.
I'm going to go on a bit about a few other things because if I write my entire review about how exceptional their store brand tostadas are, you'll think I'm a crazy person.
It's an international market, so there are all kinds of things that you won't find in great supply in your more standard grocery stores, however great they might be on their own merits. They have a variety of meat products, sodas, canned good and tostadas.
Their produce is less pricey than many other places. In particular limes and avocados might be twice their usual price elsewhere, but you can still get them for a reasonable amount here and they are every bit as good. It's entirely possible this is just because limes and avocados are two things I buy a lot that I'm peculiarly price sensitive to, but nonetheless, the fact holds.
Now I think I've earned the right to gush about their tostadas. There is a delicate balance with tortilla chips and tostadas between too brittle to survive the slings and arrows of this harsh world we live in and delicate and airy enough to give the oh so pleasant crunch when you bite into it. Their store brand Rancho Market tostadas thread that needle like nothing else you will encounter even if you wander the earth for 1000 years. National brands have to be built like sheets of metal to survive the long trips from parts unknown to your grocery store shelves. Other store brands couldn't care less about tostadas. They don't even know what tostadas are. Those poor devils. But these are nothing short of perfect. I'm not saying you should go in, buy an armful of tostadas and nothing else. Wander around, there's more there that's worth perusing, but if I saw you in line with a cart full of tostadas, I would give you a knowing nod and think no less of you. They are...
ย ย ย Read moreIf I could give zero stars I would, over the past few months, Rancho Market's overall staff has been the worst not only in this store but all store I have visited throughout the valley, but this store on 3300 south has been the worst over all. Yesterday May 02, 2022, I encountered a very rude lady at the Carniceria that literally yelled at me "QUE VAS A QUERER!" to me when I was a few steps away from me, there was no need to yell at me if she was going to come and approach me anyhow, and there is different ways of how to speak to people politely example, "Como lo puedo ayudar?". Also when paying cashiers don't greet or say thank you, and it doesn't matter they don't speak English am sure many English speaking people understand when they say, "Hola" or "Gracias". Third of all the lady attending the ice cream spot, also very rude and looks like she gets bothered when you ask her question regarding the ice cream flavors. I have never been so poorly treated in a store, and will no longer be supporting Rancho Market stores and I hope management does something about these kinds of situations, because I have heared from other people how they have been treated unfairly as well. We are customers who are they to pay for items we are not getting items for free and nor should the the...
ย ย ย Read moreThis Rancho Market is a joke! They towed our vehicle for having parked it for just over 2 hours even though we shopped there. I'm never going to a Rancho Market again after this incident and will tell everyone I know how horribly they treat their customers and community. Our family of 6 spent 2 hours on public transit going to the towing company to get our vehicle. We spent $50 in the store and they repaid us with a $300 towing fee and long bus ride!
We decided to park there for the Color festival down the street. They had no signs saying โno event parkingโ when we arrived, but put them up in the middle of the day after several families parked for the event and then started towing vehicles. There were five families who left the festival when we did and also said there were no signs up when they arrived and had their vehicle towed.
The police officers who came to talk to us about the incident said it was unfair, rude, and scandalous of the market to do so, but they were within their right to tow the vehicles on private property. Several of the families who attended the event also purchased ice-cream and other groceries while attending the event which probably increased their sales for the day yet they still decided to tow over 20 cars...
