EDIT 02/2023 I STILL love this place!! The owner Dev is always super friendly, and over the past few years I've found tons of different gems here that I use daily. This store is the place I come for my rice, hair products/shampoo, toothpaste, bath soap, my teas, butter cookies & spices now. Even the cold & cough meds (Koflet) is fantastic. And I also find many medicinal herbal remedies here by Himalaya. There's no end to the great stuff I find here at good prices. I love that its in my neighborhood, easy to get to-- best of all, the pricing. As I've stated before, I've went to other South Asian stores and some of their prices were pretty expensive....Not at Namaste. The prices are fair and consistent👍💯
I really like this store a lot!!!! I get all my spices here at low prices. In addition to that I get my hair oils and shampoos from India at this place as well at a decent price. the owners (a man and his wife) are very nice and always smiling and help me with whatever I ask them. and to top it all off....The owner (The wife) threads my eyebrows for me at a g (ood price. 😁 since I live on the east side...I really didn't like the fact that I had to go across the valley or downtown to get my eyebrows threaded...NOW I just go to this store and get them done at a low price!!!! I am definitely happy with Namaste Nanglo....I will always be a customer....Hopefully she will always be doing eyebrows and facials...

Cons:
Some of the products are untried and new. It's usually a hit or miss. Check the prices before buying. If it's too high, it's usually not worth a try! Sometimes, If you do like a new product and go next time to buy, either it is not available or the price has been jacked up by a dollar or two, since its been proven to be fast moving. There are no standard pricing. You will find products with NO price tags! On those items, the cashier determines the price according to the customer. Check the price with the cashier before you buy it. I would suggest you to stay away from those items. Ask for the itemized bill. Sometimes, they don't provide it, unless asked. Check your bill. They make mistakes. You may be paying more or getting billed for an item that you haven't purchased. This goes for all the Indian grocery shops: CHECK the expiry dates on the items. There will be some items that are way past expiry dates or close to that. Some will not carry expiry dates at all! Stay away from those items. You will have no way of knowing how old they are. I get a feeling that the store owners are not too enthusiastic about removing those items.

Read moreWorst place to shop for. First they sold us date expired stuff. When we asked for refund, they were reluctant. We visited them personally and ask for refund, they refunded only 4.99, for the product they charged 6.99.
We looked over their shelf, they haven’t removed the expired products. When we asked if they going to remove the expired products, they said nothing. I can clearly understand they are not going to remove them.
This should be your last options to shop for. If you have to, make sure to check the date of all items.
