The cashier's name on the receipt said Cyntoria. I don't know if that was lady who took my order, but I'm assuming so. We pulled up and it was very hard to understand her. I could tell she kept walking away from the mic before she finished talking. I had ordered a burger tray and asked her what came on the burger. She told me it was "pre-made". I also ordered a chicken wrap, which you're supposed to be able to choose between ranch, cajun, and honey mustard. She didn't ask me which one I wanted before telling me to pull forward. When I got to the window, I asked her again what comes on the burger. She said, "I told you earlier that it comes pre-made." I asked her if that meant it was just meat and bread or if it come with toppings? What. Comes. On. It. Then she says that she "told them to put cheese and everything on it". So, she tells them what to put on it, therefore it's not pre-made, right? Then I double checked with her that I could choose what came on my wrap. When I asked, she responded a sigh saying, "Oh lord, I told them put ranch on it." She was very rude and rolled her eyes multiple times. If cookout has rules about hairnets, she wasn't wearing one. When she handed us our drinks she set my card ona stack of napkins sitting in between the drinks, which almost fell. I asked for a reciept and she told me it would be in my bag with the food. It wasn't. Overall the only good thing was the food and...
Read moreWell, reviews are all over the place, for this rustic looking little restaurant.
So, I'm not sure if it's a hit or miss type situation. Or, if some reviews are just being too critical of a low cost meal.
For me, it wasn't a 100% hit, but it did score in the 80s. Of course, what can one expect when most items on the menu cost $1.00?
I had the Corndog, Hushpuppies, Cheese Quesidea and a Blueberry Cheesecake Milkshake (they had me on this one).
In all my years, I've never seen preformed, slug shaped Hushpuppies. And, to be honest, while they were good, I think that extra process detracts from the taste.
The corndog with ketchup and mustard was pretty good. Though, I was surprised when I asked the counter girl for ketchup, she gave me a handful (usually, you're lucky to get 2). And, I ended up returning 4 of them.
The Quesidea was very good. Though, the Hit Sauce is not only HOT ;-) , it is too thin, and you run the risk of runoff.
The Blueberry Cheesecake Milkshake was awesome! And, we'll worth the $2.99. However, it is quite thick. So, to drink it with your meal isn't a good idea. Best to save it for dessert (I still have some left).
There's whole blueberries, and chunks of cheesecake in it (definitely not the low calorie one).
I'll be...
Read moreWent here last night, got in the second drive through line, waited for over 15 minutes for someone to take our order, while the first line was running smoothly, and we had a line of cars behind us. We ended up getting in the first line and waiting another 15 minutes before we got to order, and when my fiance ordered our meal, very clearly might I add, she came back with an attitude and had our order all wrong, all while we were trying to still be respectful. When we finally got our order we went straight home with out checking our order because we were tired and ready to go home and eat. Come to find out they only gave us 3 out of the 6 quesadillas we ordered, but charged us for 6.
Yet again went to cookout tonight, me and my fiance were the only people in line, we ordered our food very clearly, figured it would be better than last time, got home and our orders were wrong. I ordered a big double burger with ketchup, may, bacon, cheese and lettuce. My fiance ordered the same except with no ketchup, Mayo, or lettuce, just bacon and cheese. Got home mine didn't have any thing on it except cheese and my fiance got a slice of bacon, and a piece of cheese and ketchup. This will be the last time we get food...
