Where do I start. Staff and food are good. Service and overall operation not so much. A lot of work to be done. First online ordering is available BUT I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND IT! You will be waiting an hour before they even put your order in. I was told by the manager or owner that sometimes he pushes the online orders back bc he serves the sitting customers first. So if they’re busy with customers, don’t count on your order to be ready by the time given on the website. Ive walked in 1hr after I ordered online and remember them literally picking up my ordered to walk it in the back where they started to cook. I sat in the chair for an additional 40min. No exaggeration. The 3rd time I ordered 1/2 hr before my lunch break started, I still had to wait 1/2hr only to get my order and it was incorrect. When I walked back in and told them it was wrong one of the waitresses repeated what I ordered like she was annoyed that I came back to point out their mistake. I ordered online, already paid. When I showed her what i got vs what I SHOULD’VE gotten she quickly tried to dismiss the earlier conversation with attitude like I was being a difficult WOC. You shouldn’t have to think strategically to order and get your food. Only for it to continuously be incorrect. It doesn’t matter what I do, there is always a problem. I called to place the order bc it’s what the manager recommended after the 3rd time being inconvenienced and when I called he literally said “call back 1/2 hr to place order, we’re very busy, sorry.” The food is the only thing...
Read moreIt's always challenging to find a good breakfast while on the road. So it was reassuring stepping into this restaurant and seeing a number of locals following suit. The decor and overall atmosphere shows off its lived-in age with very little in the way of attention to decor. It's a no frills experience. On the other end, the staff was friendly and attentive, my food came out quick, and I was out the door before too long. I enjoyed the five governor omelette, a blend of three meats, mushrooms, and cheddar cheese. The home fries came out well done, which gave them a bit of a flavorful crunch that is often lost at other breakfast spots where the home fries are simply an afterthought. I ordered a side of chipped beef. The biscuits that came with it had a buttery crunch, which was fantastic, although the chipped beef itself was a bit bland. In conclusion, this is not a bad place to fill your belly when traveling through...
Read moreAfter a week of boardwalk food, I desperately needed some eggs and bacon for a long drive across 3 states. Saw a billboard and gave it a shot. Sign was a little hidden, we almost missed it but glad we came across it. We were seated immediately, ample seating. Hostess was polite. Tina was our server, she was taking our order within 2 minutes of arrival, she was pleasant and prompt. My husband ordered the corned beef hash special and I got my eggs and bacon. Plates came out pretty quickly while we sipped our coffee. Servings were huge, and delicious. Everything was definitely cooked to order, eggs right on point (which is almost never the case for my husband's over medium). Price was very reasonable for generous portions. Building has seen some time but was tidy, menus were clean as were tables and chairs. Servers and staff were all professional and polite. I would definitely visit again...
