Anytime Fitness — Local services in Milwaukee

I am extremely dissapointed with my experience at Anytime Fitness on Water St. I just moved right downtown and had been looking for a new gym to start working out at. A close friend of mine recommended me to your facility (she belongs to another location) and when I showed up I was completely disrespected from the start by your manager Yahpay. I told him i was inquiring about a membership and he asked me to pay $5 for one day, even though I was looking for a pass to be able to try out the gym for a week. Your website states you have a week trial, as all other gyms in the area do, and yet it was not an option. Yahpay didn't take my concerns or questions about a possible membership seriously. He asked me intrusive questions about my life- talking trash about my current gym, the gym I used to work at, and my job (I'm a nanny). At one point he said "and who trusts you with their kids?"

Besides being incredibly disrespected, and not taken seriously at any point during the interaction...... the gym was sticky and gross. The machines we're incorrectly cleaned, and the tanning was shut down.

I would never even consider becoming a member at this location or any of the others. I definitely will not refer anyone to this gym. As a fitness enthusiast, and someone who has worked in the health industry for years, this has been my worst interaction yet. Worst 5 dollars I...

Trying to sign up for the membership today but the staff was extremely rude and useless. He apparently is not happy working here.

I called to ask about the gym info but he was so impatient and he only cares about me arriving before 5pm so he can get off work. I arrived at the gym at 4:20ish and called the number to let me in. However, he was just on the computer and let me wait in the cold. I kept waiting till people come out so I can go in while he was just sitting at office. The whole conversation with him was a disaster as well. He talks super fast and threw all the numbers in front of me without further explanation while he was STILL working on his own thing on the laptop. He had this terrible attitude when I asked him questions and looked annoyed. He made people feel they are wrong being there! This is the worst customer service experience...

When I first signed up, I gave one of the managers all my health insurance gym membership info (I get a discounted membership through work). A few months later I get a call at 8am from THAT SAME manager saying I claimed I was living in the apartments above to get a free membership, despite that my records showed me living at another address.

I also had some items stolen from the cubby holes. There are cameras right above the area so I asked the on-site manager to look through the footage. It took her a few days to get back to me but eventually she told me the camera wasn't angled properly to see who took my stuff. I never got my stuff back.

The gym is always packed too, unless you go during a packer game. I've been to dozens of AF around the country, and it's just unfortunate that the one closest to my home is my least favorite and the most...
