Stopped in we've been curious about this place for a while we have a couple places like this where we're from and wanted to get some gifts, I don't know if it was the owner but she was not friendly almost like we were bothering her, won't be back!! Super unfortunate. Also I was with my child and she picked up something to show me and the owner very disrespectfully snapped at her not to touch anything maybe other children are disrespectful but my child was going to show me something some chocolate in a display that we were very well going to purchase extremely rude. There was no "please," no greeting nothing really too bad of course I will touch your product I need to see what's in it, we are ingredient snobs. Found a great local owned and local made in house shop in Tosa called Tabal and just about bought them out of all...
Read moreI visited the Chocolate Sommelier for the first time on a Saturday afternoon. The owner, Karen, was very welcoming and knowledgeable, and helped me choose from the large variety of chocolate products available. The Chocolate Sommelier carries everything from house curated truffles, Belgian chocolate, hot chocolate and drinking product items, to single origin bars. There is something for everyone, in a wide variety of price ranges. Karen helped me choose some truffles, a variety box of Belgian chocolates, sweet and salty cacao nibs, and a selection of small bars.
Parking was easy to find out front, and Karen made me feel very comfortable and safe with the COVID precautions in place. I would highly recommend visiting the Chocolate Sommelier, whether you're looking for a gift or something delicious...
Read moreOn a stroll around iconic Brady Street with my wife, we noticed this shop and stopped in. Had a wonderful chat with the owner who has a great story to tell of her journey to owning a chocolate shop. We had just returned from Paris where we took a tour of the legendary chocolate shops there, being in this shop was like returning to Paris. Outstanding chocolate and imaginative combinations and designs, I highly recommend this small shop on Brady street. The owner has helped me put together gift baskets and boxes for friends and clients that have always raved about the chocolate. Definitely worth a stop when visiting Milwaukee and...
