Mid to small theater. Productions of touring Broadway shows are scaled down somewhat when I've seen photos from other, larger venues. What really matters is the connection between stage & audience, and it's superb in delivering that.
The sound system & acoustics are always tuned appropriately with priority to vocals & players are never drowned out by music. I've seen high enegy/loud musical productions and the the low end/bass is hits hard while delivering mids & highs without distortion or harshness. (Easy to take for granted, but not all venues are equal.)
Facility is meticulously maintained and warmly lit. The seats are very comfortable. As a tall person I'm a bit squeezed everywhere, but much less ao here than even our local high school theater. The staff is great & always seem to enjoy being there.
There is an open area with a bar (and I believe) some food service. We always eat somewhere downtown prior to shows thus I haven't the experience to comment on it. Some fellow season ticket holders nearby always get a drink before shows and are very complimentary of drink selections and preparations.
If you love stage shows, you'll love them here. If you haven't been to a few or none at all I'd urge you to see what's playing, pick a show and see what you've...
Read moreWe bought 3 tickets to see Hamilton. Our seats were section SLOGE Row R seat 3, 4 & 5, we paid full price for all 3 tickets. Seat 5 has little to no leg room. On the right side of the seat there is maybe 1" between the seat and the balcony wall on the left side there was maybe 6". I had to sit with my right leg up on the balcony because there was no way I could actually sit with my feet on the ground. We asked to be re-seated but were told it was sold out and we had to deal with it. I was so upset that I couldn't tell you what the first 45 minutes of Hamilton was about because I was so uncomfortable. My friend sat in the seat the 2nd half because my body couldn't handle sitting with one leg up and the other leg with no room to put your foot on the ground because the balcony wall was right there. We sent an e-mail after the fact asking for a refund or discount on that seat, but never heard back. I can't believe that they even try to sell that seat, I don't know a single person that could sit in that seat and not be...
Read moreAladdin was amazing! Loved the sound throughout the theater, the singing, the dancing, and the light effects. Staff were friendly.
The seats were comfortable but there wasnât enough leg room and it felt a little tight. Youâd have to either lift your legs in the air or stand up for other people to get to their seats or for them to be able to get out.
The other thing is I wish there were bigger signs for where youâre supposed to be seating. For someone who hasnât been at this theater, it can be overwhelming with the crowd and several sets of stairs and entryways. Had a hard time finding the RORCH entryway so if there was a bigger sign with the words âRORCHâ with an arrow pointing that way on the ceiling it would make things easier.
Other than that, I really...
