Diamonds Pub & Grille — Restaurant in Milwaukee

Our lunch choice for Sunday was closed. We opened Google maps, looked at some nearby options, and picked Diamonds. We were not disappointed!! We walked in and were welcomed at the door. The four of us sat at a table as the bar was pretty full. We didn’t know to go to the bar to order, so a bar tender came with menus to let us know. But before I could get all our orders together, there she was, at our table, asking for our orders! The food came quickly. The food came hot. And the food came delicious!

We had omelet, pork chop, Diamond special, and eggs with meat. All we tasty and the hasbrowns—crispy, flavored nicely, and enhanced with house catsup and hot sauce. The cooks did a great job, the bartender checked on us twice, and was ready with the check when we were!

I’ve been to diamonds couple of times in the past and never ate the food. My cousin posted a photo of a perch, fish dinner she had there and it caught my attention right away. I went there yesterday for takeout and the fish fries coleslaw and bread was absolutely delicious. Just what I’ve been looking for with perch, fish cooked to perfection and packaged with love I definitely will be going back for the delicious food and wondering why I haven’t been there to eat.. Long time Milwaukee hang out place. I celebrate the longevity but the sacrifices made to maintain feel like deal breakers. No contemporary music- i think the 80's was the closest to current music i heard during the 4hrs i was there. Smh. Felt more like a social club, not a true bar atmosphere. The bright lights were on- you know the ones they turn on at closing when they are ushering folks out? YES THOSE the whole time. No ambiance, no "grown and sexy" in this supposedly mature atmosphere.
