I'm been coming here ever since I moved to Milwaukee but today was my last after today's incident, as soon I opened the door i was greeted by 2 dogs that they had running around the store freely. When I went to the back looking for the brand and flavor of food I usually get for my dogs they didn't have it. I asked the guy who was abt 5 ft away from me (whom works there) if that's all they had in shelf or if the had anymore in the back. He asked which one. I pointed out to the brand and told him the color of the bag . He didn't even bother to look where I was pointed and said rudely "stellas? no, that's all we have". I proceeded to get a different flavor than the one I usually get and as I was struggling a bit to get the bag of food (since it weights 22 pounds) the guy who works there looked at me and just keep standing there. I go to the register to pay and as I'm stand there for a few minutes holding the dog food, the lady at the cashier continues her conversation with this other "customer" whom had her dog off the leash running freely in the store. I payed for my dogs food which was over $90. As I was exiting the store I guess the lady's dog (the owner of store?) Runs out the door to the middle of the street and the lady comes out screaming behind me yelling rudely "HELLO! HELLO! CAN YOU MOVE MY DOG IS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET!" (As I'm carrying a heavy bag of dog food) the dog was called multiple times and would not come to her. It took a few minutes to get the dog out of the middle of the street since it wasn't listening to the lady nor the other guy who was working there. I will not be coming here and I will also be telling my friends to not support this business anymore and go take our business else where. As a dog owner it was irresponsible of the lady to have her dog off leash if it's not properly trained to come to her on command. It is not the customer's responsibility nor should a customer be yelled at as they're trying to...
Read moreStaff was snobby out of the 3 employees only one was very attentive and nice. I am aware that my dog likes to mark his territory but even after my wife offered to clean after his mess, she declined and then told us that we should take our dog outside. I have never experienced a dog store getting upset over a dog doing his business even after wanting to clean up after them. The response made us feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome… not very pet friendly if you ask me.
*since I can’t reply to the owners response… I do not appreciate you saying that you “suggested” my dog needed to go more. Your exact words were “Maybe you should take your dog outside.” After my wife offered to clean up. I know MY DOG more than you do and regardless of how many times I take him out to go potty since he likes to mark his territory, he will continue to do so..Again.. we have been to many pet stores and we do not expect anyone to clean up after our dogs mess.. we can do that. The response was just very uncalled for and made us feel like we were not welcome. You were also not busy, besides my wife, friend and I there was only one more customer besides the rescue (which were sitting down talking..nothing against them, they were very friendly) Although you may have meant it maybe you should consider being careful with what you say and...
