Since Stephanie the store manager at the Hales Corners location was discharged from her job with a wrongful termination and discrimination, I'm never coming back to this place again. She was so friendly, welcoming , She had the best customer service always had a smile on her face. Since I came back a few moths ago after years because that place was so disgusting and the employees were so rude and dirty , I've noticed how it changed, Stephanie took the management of this location and clean house and hired and trained new employees. She did such a great job even when she was serving at lunch time by herself she was so busy and always kept a smile on her face and gave all customers great service , food was great , soups were always at the right temperature and dining room was always clean. I've notice the other day I came in she was no longer there and one of the lady's serving told me she was fired I couldn't believed what I heard , why somone so great could of got fired so I investigate a little from someone that works In the same plaza and knows Stephanie and I found out it was unfair , wrongful termination. Now this place will probably go back to the same old same old since two of the lady's serving that day were from the old grumpy crew . Read moreThe soups are fine ... nothing fantastic for the most part, but reasonably tasty and it seems as though using quality ingredients. Decent soup isn't free - so I understand the price. today, a bowl of reasonable gazpacho for I think $8 is decent. I do have an issue though - the person behind the counter, as well as all the staff in the back, were not wearing masks.
It's awkward - I'm wearing a mask out of respect to them and other customers, since they don't know whether I've been careful, or perhaps have been exposed and am a carrier. But apparently they don't respect me (their customer!!!) enough to want to show that they are being careful and want to protect me?
Not sure I'll go back again during the pandemic - it's just awkward. Maybe if they were doing curb-side pickup. Or if at least I could order (and pay) ahead and come quickly to snag the food and go. As it is, had to stand there with the person yakking away at me with no mask, and not even a partition...
Read moreI tried contacting this business to cater an event I am hosting. After an email in which they insisted that I call to receive any more information about their catering services, I called and left a message. Never got a call back. Emailed again, and Dave arranged to call me at a specific time. He called a half hour later than the time we had agreed on and was unable to actually discuss any catering specifics because he was driving. He said he would then email me a list of the soups, which I never received.
I'm going with another caterer, and now that I've seen some of these other reviews, I'm glad! I'm surprised that I gave them so many chances to get this right and they couldn't even communicate with me to set up an order.
