This Anytime location exceeded my expectations. I was hesitant to cancel my membership at my other gym, but after touring this AF facility it was an easy decision. It's very well equipped with top notch equipment and the membership is really affordable for what you get. Like any other gym, the free weight area can get a little busy during the after work rush, but even then I've yet to have an issue getting on the equipment I need. Three full squat racks and an olympic lifting platform with bumper plates is a great find for a "cheap" gym. The only thing that I miss from my old powerlifting/bodybuilding gym is the power bars with more aggressive knurling and other specialty bars. The standard barbells you see at a gym like this get pretty slick once your hands are sweaty. It would be super cool to see a facility like this have a dedicated PL bar, SSB, and/or a trap bar - if it had those specialty bars, then there wouldn't be any reason to look elsewhere, regardless of what sport you're training for... but that's just me being super picky. All in all, couldn't be happier with my membership here and plan to stay here for as long as I live...
Read moreI absolutely love this place. After being at a couple disasterous gyms where I saw no results, I decided to make a change and joing Anytime Fitness. And I am so glad I did. After, I had a health scare after having COVID towards the end of 2021, I knew I had to make a permanent change on my health and well-being. I started working with Brian. He completely help me and gently guided me to where I want to be physically, mentally and emotionally. Brian can attest that I can be stubborn and I can make excuses, but he really pushed me in his Brian way to help me achieve my goals. So far, I've smashed them and I know I will smash the goals I've created for myself now.
Along with Brian, the entire staff like Paul and Morgan and Gabe and Amanda are absolutely phenomenal and kind and highly knowledgeable with whatever health and nutrition question you have. Their group workouts are an absolute blast and I strongly suggest taking them.
Also, I didn't expect this, but I've made friends at the gym that I am always happy to see. Thank you Anytime Fitness Uptown for making me feel like I belong and make me feel...
Read moreVery open feeling and spacious anytime fitness. It has the usual cardio equipment in the front, a group exercise section in the middle and free lifting weights in the back.
I use the barbell for most of my exercising so I’ll give my opinion on that. It has three squat racks which are good for squats and overhead presses. You can do bench presses here by moving a bench from the dumbbell section over, but I’m definitely not a fan compared to a dedicated bench press. It’s not as comfortable since the dumbbell bench can fold, so while you lay on it, it can move around a lot. It also has some deadlifting type of weights in the corner, but deadlifting here is a bit hard since the space it uses is small, and it doesn’t have a deadlift bar jack to make it easy to set up the deadlift weights.
I usually go at odd hours, but I can say the squat racks can be filled up easily.
Los Campeones is a better gym for strength training hands down, but their hours are just to limiting for my liking. So this is probably the best 24 hour gym with...
