We had a HORRIFIC experience and will never go back. Last week, my boyfriend and I stopped in for one beer each, it was my first time there but he's been many times before and loved it. When we first arrived, the waiter had a very rude and short tone with me when I asked questions regarding the menu, I immediately felt unwelcome and disrespected. We both selected a beer and they were both brought out almost immediate, which was great. My boyfriend hands his credit card to the waiter and he swipes it, and my bf hits a tip amount and signs for it. A min later, the waiter comes back claiming that the card didn't go through and asked to re-swipe. He immediately corrected himself and just said that he needed another signature. My bf wasn't paying too close of attention and just signed for it anyways , not wanting to cause any sort of trouble even though it seemed odd, but I noticed that the tip amounts were different, so the charge was different. It didn't seem like a big deal.. he just got a bigger tip than we had intended but whatever. When we arrived home, my bf checked his bank statement because we felt it was a bit odd to have had to sign twice for one charge.. and sure enough we were charged twice. We didn't think it was a big deal, and he was just going to call the next day and get it resolved. When he called the next day, he politely said that he was charged twice, and the lady on the receiving end stated that we were charged for 4 beers.. basically saying that we were charged correctly as we had 4 beers (which how would she know that?). My BF responded and said that we only had one beer each.. so 2 beers and she immediately reacted and said that our word couldn't be trusted. My BF was starting to feel belittled and attacked, and he just responded, in a calm tone, that she can watch the security footage and that we were really only there for one beer and would like the second charge to be refunded. The women told him that he can either fix his attitude and accept the payment and move on, or speak with a manager.. which he said he'd happily do as we were wrongly charged! The manager calls my bf a few hours later, and claims that he disrespected his employee and that he didn't appreciate his tone or attitude. He didn't believe our story one bit, but he eventually unwillingly agreed to refund the charge. We felt very disrespected, belittled, attacked, and won't ever be coming back. If anyone knows my bf, they know he is the sweetest guy that never likes to cause any sort of trouble, so for me to hear this just stopped my in my tracks. I can't even believe this happened, and will sadly never return or support this brewery.. and neither will any...
Read moreWow, it's been a long time since I last visited Indeed! Although it's definitely changed since the last time I visited (new parking lot, more parking, better outdoor lighting, bigger outdoor patio, additional spaces to hang out inside in), in a way Indeed Brewing was just the way I remember it!
A wonderful brewery and taproom, it was full of energy and activity on the night I visited. Great vibe on a Saturday night! The room was warm, and I loved the lower lighting, original old wood columns and rafters (old warehouse), and the ENORMOUS wood bar, that spans the full length of the taproom. I remembered that old wood bar, which, when sitting at it, makes you feel like you're in an old Western movie ("barkeep, slide me down a frothy beer, please?", haha)
The taproom is modestly large, though intimate, with a large patio outside too. Parking is now better than I remember, and the lot is paved and runs along the railroad tracks. I didn't see any dogs in the taproom. Lots of plants inside, much like Blackstack Brewing. Local artwork from the nearby "art-a-whirl" events are sprinkled throughout, too.
On this night I tried their "Moon Dance", a creamy, dark oatmeal stout which was delicious and smooth. There are many other NA and Kombucha drinks offered, as well as the THC stuff. See my photo for the current taplist. Oh, and on the way to the bathroom, Indeed has a true DONUT VENDING MACHINE! OK, never saw that before, and I've traveled to Japan 8 times now (home of the vending-machine-on-every-block concept).
A great end-of-the night place, and if you're into romance, this place has a lot going for it, smallish, intimate,...
Read moreSo, I have a studio space in a building near by. So close in fact that Indeed has been my go to spot for a number of years, either hanging out on the patio with my dog or running over for a growler. Rarely have I not had my dog with me and until this summer he accompanied me inside when I was on a growler run. Each time I would pick him up and carry him inside with me. It never really dawned on me that animals aren’t typically allowed inside restaurant/bar type establishments. If it had I never would’ve brought the dog with. The last time I spent and will spend a dollar, of the literally thousands that I have, in this place was after I stepped up to the bar carrying my dog to order and was immediately told to leave. I understand rules are rules and had I thought about it for a second I never would’ve brought him but that was no reason for the male bartender to refuse service by ordering me, along with a backhand shooing gesture, out of the taproom. It was something along the lines of “you, out, now.” clearly motivated by the dog in my arms. This was after standing in this very spot with my dog no less than 25 other times and not a word from any other staff member. Had it been delivered with a little more finesse I, realizing my mistake, would’ve walked out and handed my dog off to one of my friends and went right back in. I meant to leave this review back when it happened but forgot all about it because I haven’t been back there since. Instead, I started going...
