Freshly Cut — Local services in Minneapolis

A few months back, I decided to find a new place to get my haircut. I am very particular about who cuts my hair so when I find someone that can cut and do a really good job, I tend to stick with them. Case and point: prior to coming here I went to my former stylist for 7+ years. I judge a cut by how it grows out. Haircuts can all look good right afterwards. I'm looking for a cut that looks good 4 to 5 weeks out. One Barber at Freshly Cut did my first cut here and will be doing all of my cuts from here on out. No fuss - just an amazing cut at a fair price ($25). I'd name him, but I still want to be able to get a cut from him. I had been looking for a new shop for a month or so and gave Freshly Cut a shot. The way it’s kind of tucked away gives it that quiet neighborhood feel but at the same time it’s along a lot of common routes one would take going home or other places. Master Barber Leif cut my hair and he did a really good job. He was open to me showing a picture of what I wanted and did damn well getting my hair looking like it.

Curly hair is the true test of barbers and mine failed me. I specifically asked that the shortest he cut it is the length of my longest hair on the back. He proceeded to cut my hair to a length of about 1 inch which is a half inch with product. I'm only giving 2 stars because he was nice and friendly. He claimed the only reason he cut my hair to practically a military cut was because it looked "snarly" at a longer length.
