SunBean Coffee — Restaurant in Minneapolis

Calling all coffee lovers! Come soak up some sun on Sunbean's beautiful back patio, or catch some artificial rays with Light Therapy at their signature SunBar while enjoying a delicious coffee.

SunBean is a Black-owned business on a mission to "spread sunshine, community, and positivity through exceptional coffee and a welcoming atmosphere," and the owner, Fred, certainly delivers on that mission! He was great to chat with and fosters a warm sense of community inside his shop. It is decorated by work from local artists as well as a beautiful tropical mural that will be especially nice to sip coffee in front of come wintertime. This is truly a place where all are welcome, even if you're a caffeine novice. Keep an eye on their social media for fun monthly specials and upcoming community events.

I got a blueberry passionfruit pop tart (made by another stellar local company, Fruit & Grain) and Fred's Favorite - an oatmilk miel latte with a dash of cinnamon. I’ve also had their cereal milk latte, which I loved. Great coffee, highly recommend!

On one Sunday morning, I arrived at my destination place very early. Because the place is closed, I had to find a nearby location, something like Cafe or so. I checked Google maps and it recommended the nearest Cafe, SunBeam Coffee ☕ 😊At 10:17 AM, I already ordered and paid for my Coffee (Dirty Pumpkin Chai). The two young girls at the registry were respectful, nice, warm and attentive. The place is very small to accommodate large group of friends. Mostly, people pick their orders on the spot & left. Me & another gentleman had a table and chair while enjoyed our drinks. High speed internet is available _ So I was watching my favorite clips before I posted this. The gentleman in my back table, told me the password. He came with his laptop maybe working on his projects. We both were focused on our screens and unbothered by the noise. How nice to be at a warm, cozy and open Cafe this early morning with free wi-fi ?! 😊Yes_ I enjoy my drink, it is a bit expensive btw. For large coffee, I just pay $10.36, not including tip. People are laughing & vibing... Street parking is available, so no worries about parking space. Yes, I recommend this place for...

I stopped in this morning for a breakfast sandwich. There were a few people in front of me, but it felt like it was my turn to order in no time! I asked the barista what kinds of sandwiches they had? Only one; turkey sausage, egg and cheese. Skeptically I asked: how is turkey sausage?! She said she was skeptical at first too but really likes it. Trusting her judgement, I ordered it. She didn't steer me wrong, It was in fact delicious! I love how bright & welcoming the digs are. Definitely somewhere I can see myself having lunch w a friend. Thanks SunBean for the delicious breakfast...that was easy to eat on my commute and wasn't even a little messy. Thanks for the friendly and fast service! Looking forward to breakfasting...
