Dominguez Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Minneapolis

I don’t usually do reviews, but yesterday I was at Dominguez family restaurant and i got there and it was busy, I was seated in 2-4 minutes. Once i was seated we got the chips really quickly which were amazing, so was the sauce. a bit of time passed and our server was coming to take our order when he got clapped at by a table some feet away from ours. He turned and walked over and she seemed upset with what he gave her. He looked a bit disappointed in himself because he thought that it wasn’t a problem with the plate. He came back and gave her a new one that was better and he walked back over and grabbed our order. The other server which was a lady walked over to there table and asked if they were fine and if they needed more chips. I’m guessing they said yes because once the guy came he had chips with him. I’m pretty sure he told her that she would have to pay more for the extra chips which was normal because it says on the menu. She started instantly screaming at the him and raised her voice at him and the other lady and he looked confused and then he looked like he wanted to cry. She continued to keep on screaming at him and said he wanted him out of here and that he was terrible. as he was walking back into the kitchen he was crying. he stayed in there for a couple of minutes and he came back out trying to give an order to another clients. He couldn’t say a word without letting out a bit of tears. I felt bad for him because he honestly was doing a great job. He didn’t deserve to be screamed at because he was doing his job by making sure she knew she was gonna pay more for the chips. Overall, i really enjoyed the food and the servers don’t get appreciated enough for there...

Big dissapointment!! The guy was supper friendly when I got there with my friend but kept being pushy by pressuring me to order fajitas when I clearly said I wanted a taco and beans with rice! Then I asked him for a hotter salsa since the one we got was not hot at all, he brought the salsa but never told us it was Xtra charge. He also brought right away chips to the table and he even brought a second one with out warning is we were being charge for these then at the end he brought the bill and we realized we were charge for the chips and the salsa! When we talk to him about it he started to have an attitude and after a while he ended up "removing" the extra charge but what's so weird is that the price went even higher when he brought the bill that he supposedly "adjust" we just paid and told him he was trying to be tricky but we were aware of what he did. There was no point of arguing cz obviously he is so hungry for any Xtra penny he can get ... We will never go back to this place so hopefully ppl can make sure to check their receipts before paying so u will know what u are really Dice que todavia no decide donde 🤔... Hey! Paid $14 for a little bit of beans & rice and a very small enchilada as part of their lunch special today. It was actually supposed to cost $13, because that's what it said in the menu I was handed, and then when I brought it up as I was paying, he pushed back, insisting that it was $14 and didn't even bother to check the menu to see if I was right. So, by charging me 2 extra dollars (I was paying for me and a friend), I took $2 off his tip! And then I went home and made myself a sandwich because I was still hungry. Their food is tasty, but if you value a dollar and would like to get an amount of food that's proportional to what you pay, don't come here. The food I received should have cost more like $5 (I'm serious). Plus, they'll try and rip you off. There's no way this employee doesn't know the cost of the food that's in the menu. And I was right.
