Lyn-Lake Barbershop — Local services in Minneapolis

Had the WORST experience at this barbershop! Not only did the hair cut look like a dog chewed my boyfriends' hair and is irreparable (he needs a hat at this point! I could've done a better job with a youtube tutorial an my teeth!). But I was not even able to get a refund. Instead I had to call three days in a row, leave a message to the so called Barber. Three days later I get my phone call returned by the "barber" Cheli, who yelled at me pretending she never knew him, or cut his hair, wow great response Cheli ! Worst experience ever! Avoid this place at all cost!! For the same price, you can go to a variety of other shops where barbers know what they are doing. LynLake, a note on customer care: if you mess up someones' hair beyond repair, have the decency to APOLOGIZE, acknowledge your mistake and return the money! Today was my first time at Lyn-Lake Barber Shop and I was very disappointed. Their website says walk-ins are welcome and this is why I chose the shop. During the cut my stylist Gabriel was hostile towards me when I explained my preference to walk-in verse making an appointment. He suggested I go to Great Clips in the future. At one point I told Gabriel to stop ‘lecturing me’ as I am not five years old and I understand he wants customers to make appointments. Im a 23 year old young professional who just got a fade by Cheli and let me tell you...she gave me pointers on cost effective hair gel, cost effective ways to help with baldness and also gave her opinion, instead of saying “whatever you want” over and over. I hate it when professional hairstylists don’t give their opinion because frankly, they know more than I do on looks and style-Cheli was super helpful, professional and fun!
