tacotaxi — Restaurant in Minneapolis

Had a experience last night with the security guard/ "part owner" when i told the cashier lady that i believed i hadn't received all of my items. I wasn't unruly nor disrespectful, loud and acted appropriately. The security guards conduct and attitude was beyond unacceptable. He behaved in a threatening and unprofessional manner and even told me "i could leave" once they gave me my food (which i had already purchased more food initially after the first order) and only received the items i paid for on the second order. I honestly do not care or am concerned with the service regarding the items given at this point, my concern is how this gentlemen conducts/conducted himself. Speaking to me with his hand on his weapon when there was no cause for aggression. I understand the community in which Taco Taxi serves and that there's person's who operate with a lower level of integrity but we must remember that we are all individuals and had i responded with the same level of aggression the outcome may have been different. The man even implied i was lying. I spent nearly $40 in that establishment and spend no less than $20 whenever i go. I'm not sure if my character was questioned due to race or what but all customers should be treated with respect and I will never support a business who treats their customers...

My absolute FAVORITE, absolutely AUTHENTIC, absolutely DELICIOUS taco/Mexican joint in Minneapolis. I get tacos (their lengua and birria are to die for) with a side of rice and beans 2 or 3 times a week just about. Cheaper than most spots. The salsa rojo they make can't be beat. No, I don't go to this place for the ambiance, although after their remodel it does look a lot better, but I do typically order to go. They are fast though, don't think I've ever waited longer than 5 mins (unless it's a weekend and all the party people are snagging their grub between 2-3am). And when food is that amazing, when I literally crave it on the daily, I'm ok with a dinky spot that doesn't look the prettiest, and I might have to wait 10/15mins. Heck, I'm even ok running into a pan handler every now and then...all ya gotta do is say no. This place isn't trying to be a five star sit down restaurant (although I give them 5 based on food solely). Have you been to Mexico? Ever lived in southern Cali? The smaller the spot, the less attention to esthetic detail typically means the grub is outstanding if they've been around for awhile. This is why Taco Taxi...

This little place hits the spot! It's small, rather quite, but if you want REAL street Tacos the Taco Taxi has always been where it's at! So it really don't matter if you just pull over and run up to one 🕜 f their taco trucks lol cated in uptown on lagoon, or on east lake st. Or if you find yourself here and you've got a moment to sit down and smash on you plate of food, it's ALL GOOD because you ain't in an Uber but the Taco Taxi's food is sure to Lyft your spirits and hopefully fill you up! Swing of n and enjoy one of there ice cold nonalcoholic beverages that you can't find at the taco trucks, grab a hibiscus drink, or a rice drink, or a refreshing mix either way you'll be delighted!
