Sexual Violence Center — Local services in Minneapolis

I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone at the SVC for all their kindness, understanding, and support during a very stressful and emotional time in my life. I'm very thankful to everyone for providing me with the help and resources I needed to gain safety from my abuser.

I got to work with Michelle and I'm so glad I had someone like her to validate and understand my troubles. I felt so much safer and freer after they helped me. I was able to report my case to the local police as well as fill out paperwork for an Order For Protections with help from a couple different advocates. I am very lucky that both processes have worked out well for me, but I never would've been able to take those first steps without the SVC.

I am so sorry to see the review above. I love the sexual violence center. The advocates, Volunteers and Staff that work there are victim centered and go above and beyond to help people in need. There is no obstacle to large when it come to helping their victims and families. I certainly believe the staff would not be as passionate without their executive director who has such compassion for not only the victims and their families but her staff as well. They treat each other as family and run like a well oiled caring machine!
