Code Blu Coffee — Restaurant in Minneapolis

Service is prompt and focused on kindness. I am a regular here and I visit for their strong coffee. This is the only one of a handful of businesses I supported during Covid-19 with walk-in service. I keep returning to appreciate the joyful playfulness I have built with the owners. I drive out of my way to get their coffee and regularly bring a cup to a friend if I am heading somewhere. The proprietor is a longtime coffee shop manager who has worked with big names in the retail, cup-at-a-time coffee shop. You can be sure that whatever you order is made well, with very fresh beans. There is good rapport with customers of all creeds and colors, as I have been here at times with regulars who he calls by first name. I’m a very curious person, so my interest is always met with patience and kindness. Among coffee shops, Code Blu is tops. I support their shift to earlier hours, with a desire to live more of life yet still being open every day...

I LOVE this place so so much. Such a hidden gem with good vibes and quality coffee drinks. I'm not a huge coffee person, so I usually go by Frapshake or smoothie option, but let me tell you one thing. Their zebra Frapshake is ANOTHER WORLD--honestly one of the best coffee drinks I've ever had in my life with 0 exaggeration. Not to mention its generous size ($5.75 for 24oz sounds not bad at all for me), it retains perfect balance of dark and white mocha, which in turn creates heavenly good bittersweetness. It is rather milky than ice-crunchy, finely blended and smooth, but you can tell it is VERY dense mocha flavor at the same time.

Code Blu Coffee is a hidden gem in the Seward neighborhood. I googled coffee shops in the Seward area and Code Blu popped up. Luckily, it's right across my gym so the convenience is a perk. It's located in a really nice area. The staff is absolutely amazing and goes above and beyond to make a customer happy. They create a welcoming environment. They seem to enjoy curating drinks that fits your needs as well which is awesome. The drink itself is delicious. The first one I've tried is the White Chocolate frapp and have ordered it 4x now after I discovered it. Looking forward trying some new suggestions from them :) The ambiance is great.
