I decided to try this place out today. I asked the dude what is on the Gyro as the menu is just pictures!!! he’s very vague. Says lettuce and tomato okay, I know Gyro’s come with tzatziki sauce!! so I assume he’s just not gonna say it… he’s being rude vague I’ve never been to this restaurant before, but this guyro was served with a red sour sauce/dressing. I’ve had gyros at plenty of other places and never had this red sauce on my Gyro I’m pregnant. It was sour. And the point being he didn’t say it was on there at all, so it came as a complete surprise .I called back to complain And said my boyfriend was bringing the gyro back if there’s anyway, I can have a refund because I’m having to order food from somewhere else now and wasting my money and wasting my time when I asked what was on the Gyro then is when he should’ve stated everything that was on the gyro….. knowing they put this special secret sauce no other place use
Like I said I go to the place across the street all the time and never have any issues The only reason I tried this place out was because it looks good and the place across the street was out of fries. I won’t be making that mistake again To come back, he could’ve made it better by trying to act like he cared over the phone u know customer service???😂but instead he said no refund 🫤when I continue to complain because he clearly didn’t say What sauces and everything that came on it when I had asked and I said “well maybe when people ask what come on it you should be More direct… Especially if you’re not giving refund…. “ Anyways, then he put me on hold for the second time or he just puts the Phone down completely cause I hear chatting in the background and I’m completely being ignored so I hang up… My boyfriend went in the store to get a new one. They were very rude about it of course they didn’t want to but he didn’t take no for an answer because that was on them !!!! I’m not surprised they didn’t wanna remake it as the conversation I tried having with the man over the phone.!! (Me being ignored) Anyways, we ended up getting the replacement!! But we had to fight for them to fix their own mistake and it was just a bunch of bullshit, a headache, and who wants to deal with this when hungry??and spending hard...

He has such a generous spirit, from making great suggestions to helping me with pronunciation to pouring me a cup of the AMAZING Somali tea to try. The interactions at the restaurant were a good omen of what was to come. My coworker and I both got the goat with rice and it was delicious. The portion sizes are so big that you will be enjoying the food for at LEAST another meal. I am so grateful for all the wonderful people at Ahlan and their kindness and cooking skills! I will definitely be coming back, especially for the mandasi and the odkac....
