Cash Wise Foods Grocery Store — Local services in Minot

Not the best place to cash wic checks. I had 2 to cash today (a large one and a milk and juice one) I did the smaller of the 2 first and the cashier guy told me the juice didn't work. It was 100% juice from old orchard and wasn't on the no list in the most updated nd wic food list. I've gotten the same juice at Walmart and marketplace using my wic check so I was slightly irritated. Then cashing my large check he said the cheese sticks didn't work so I pulled out the list and showed him and he said he doesn't make the rules. He also said my juice on that check didn't work nor did the multigrain cheerios. I left there with only half the stuff on my checks because he never offered to have anyone grab a different juice or ask a manager over to see why it says on the WIC list it works but wasn't working for him to ring it up. There was only 2 lanes open and 4 people behind me so I wasn't going to make those people wait while I grabbed different stuff. All and all I guess I'll stick to cashing them at...

T-bone steaks on sale for $8.98 lbs. I called them to ask the thickness and I was told they are usually about a pound and a half each because they cut down to one and a quarter inches thick. We discussed the fact that 3 pounds in two steaks was just too much for my wife and I and I was told they could cut them at 3/4 of an inch which would be closer to 1 pound each. That sounded good to me so I ordered 15 packs with two steaks in each pack, therefore approximately 2 pounds per pack. When my wife pick them up and brought them home, I was shocked to see the bill was nearly $400. They sold me 15 packs with two steaks per pack, but they went ahead and cut them at an inch and a half. So when I was expecting the price to be about $275 it was closer to $400. But the worst part is that we don’t need 3 pounds of steak every time we make a meal so there is a serious inconvenience...

His place is always as quick as you want to make it in and out and they always have what I'm looking for prices are about average sometimes better on some things however the one thing I don't really care for about the store is that if you go through a register with a check out person you are still have to bag your own groceries now the alternative is you can go through the self check and ring yourself up and bag yourself up, which is what I usually do but sometimes or I guess a lot of the times it feels like I'm working for then I come in I find my stuff I bring it up to the front and I'll bring myself up at put in a bag the only thing they do is say thank you have a good night or did you scan that item? Self-checkout lanes are awesome but they suck at the same time cuz I feel like all I'm doing is saving the business more money making profit off of...
