I will no longer be shopping at this store.
Late April I bought 12 Arrow shafts for almost $200 and brought in 6 arrows to have all of them cut and fletched to match.
May 09 I came in to pick them up and the original 6 were fletched with a different angle than the other 12 and the new ones were cut incorrectly and in an effort to fix them they were put in a vise to be twisted on with a pliers and grinded on from the inside with a hand scraper resulting in non-concentric centers and off center broad heads. I took them home and ultimately came back the same day to have them corrected. The staff agreed that they could match the arrows if I could leave one of the fletched shafts with them to reference.
I called 20 May and 27 May, they were still not ready, and I even clarified the issue and what I needed done. Which was to match an arrow they originally fletched.
Finally When I called on 02 June, they said they were ready, and when I returned same day they were not done and were starting to fletch incorrectly. With another clarification that I needed them to match the arrow from the original order
June 3 I received a call stating they were finished and when I came to pick them up on 09 June some were fletched to match but most were again fletched with a different angle than the others even though I had left an arrow which they had fletched in the original order for them to replicate the angle and placement.
Frustrated and tired of feeling like a bad customer for asking I receive what was agreed to I took the arrows home and will not be returning to this Scheels for any services especially...

Here's the reason for the low rating. My family recently made a large purchase at the Minot store which included boots, hats, coats... In just one day I had to return a pair of gloves that was supposed to be water proof. By day 3 of my purchase I had to return my coat I paid over $200 for I washed it once on cold and when I pulled it out of the washer the entire coat insert had unravelled. I exchanged the coat for the same brand just a little different because the one I bought was now out of stock. 3 hours later I returned the coat I had previously got that day from the exchange. The inside of the liner was shedding everywhere. When I took it back to the store to explain what was happening the associate tells me I should take the coat home to wash it and that should keep the coat from falling apart. Read moreStopped in on 24APR23 1900hrs to pick up a scope for a rifle that was at home 6 hours away. I found exactly what I wanted in a scope. I asked if they had the scope rings for a Tikka and the scope I was set to purchase with a 42mm objective. The associate said mediums should work with no confidence at all. I asked if they had a chart that would show what rings for that diameter of scope. He said he'd check, he asked what I guess was a manager who said mediums should work. I mentioned I lived 6 hours away and needed to make sure. With no common courtesy whatsoever or anything resembling customer service he said," well if you want to make sure get highs" and turned away to another customer. Low scope axis to bore is ideal which is common knowledge. I used to sell guns for another large chain and would never have brushed off a customer with a flippant comment like that.
