Purchased and paid for delivery, removal and hook up, $1000 Whirpool dryer in May. Couple concerns with hookup, came out no problem to access situation June 12. Claims needed to order a part and would call when came in to help vent. Used the dryer next day, vent wasn't reattached/came off with tape (where's the clip that was on there?) The metal fan blade sound still present, but not sure that was even looked at? Called week and half later to make sure part was ordered - "yes it has, Austin will call you". In meantime, doing laundry with the vent off the dryer. Another week no call, left a general mail box message- No response back. Another week goes by, still drying clothes, no vent hooked up and knocking noise not fixed. Call and left another message on "sales" phone prompt ( shouldn't matter, someone should call back regardless), June 28th. Here it July 2nd, still no response yet again. Husband tired of not having dryer vented out, thus venting inside laundry area, and into house. He went to Lowes purchased same day, pipe and ring to fasten spend $30, time and it was done. The point is should've been done by service department that I already paid for. Venting now is fixed, but still occasional knocking metal noise of the dryer. I have not heard from ANYONE since service came out June 12th. Disappointed in the lack of effort in service and returning basic consumer calls/communication. Not sure what the hell is going on here? Always eager to buy small business and this was our first experience with this company, part of the follow through on big purchases is also convenience of servicing where you purchase from "The store that service built". So far less than thrilled with, and have no other way to get a response from someone, let alone a $1000 dryer looked at/fixed. Do better, ya'll! Such a...
Read moreI came home from work yesterday and my wife told me the dryer wasn’t working. Every time she would turn it on, it would just make a humming sound and the drum wouldn’t spin.
My daughter did a quick Google search and discovered it could be a broken belt. She looked a couple of videos on YouTube and found a tutorial on how to check to see if the belt was broken.
Long story short; I found the belt to be the culprit. It had broke in two and was laying at the bottom of the dryer.
I called Ace Maytag right as they opened this morning and spoke with Chad. Our dryer is twenty years old so we were thinking of getting a new dryer, but we couldn’t wait a week for it to be delivered.
I asked for the belt instead and Chad didn’t push me to get the dryer. (The dryer is $700+ vs the belt costing $16 including tax.) I really appreciate a salesperson who has their customer’s best interests in mind.
Replaced the belt and it works like brand new. Thanks Chad!
I will definitely buy my next new...
Read morewe called and set up service call, gave them model and serial so they knew what we had. They assured us they could diagnose the issue. They came out told me it was a part that had no mechanical value at all, and stated that they could not get part. I ordered part (feel stupid, cause I knew that would not cause issue). Installed it to learn that no, it did not fix issue. Called them and told them I paid $99 to be mislead. They said sorry, but you were told that we don't service your item. That is the farthest from the truth as you can get. They have no interest in providing quality service or fixing anything. They just want $99 to tell you sorry, nothing we can do for you. So if anyone thinks about calling this place, call me, I'll come out for $50 and tell you sorry! At least this choice will leave you with and extra $49 to use on different service company, or replace item! Older maytag dishwasher, and they are under new ownership, don't know if thats what the...
