Went from 5* to 2* last week. It will be a long time before I return to this location, if ever! Maybe for a vanilla cone. Service was slow, terrible, mistakes, tried to talk my father out of ordering what he wanted(BBQ sandwich), still can't comprehend why? BTW, it's NOT listed on menu, probably because it's price is so inflated! Over $24 for two sandwiches, one was a meal with fries/drink and other was just sandwich and drink! I eat better food for less at Nedderman's! No longer carry frozen hot chocolate any more and suggestion was to drive across town, not to suggest anything similar I may like. Then when food handed over, the chocolate "milkshake" was in clear cup and wasn't mixed, like at all! It was obviously vanilla ice cream and had big pockets of unmixed chocolate syrup. I handed it back and asked for it to be re-made properly, cashier made a face and questioned "what's wrong with it?" I held it up and showed her, she rolled her eyes and made sure to make it known I was a "problem." This, after waiting in the line for literally 15 minutes, not having items, paying a ton of money for a "quick" bite for myself and 83 yr father who wanted a BBQ sandwich and chocolate shake. We pulled up, waited another 8 minutes and the one who ran shake out was impolite, tossed it in and it got onto my shirt and car! No interest in our satisfaction or interaction such as "have a nice day" or "sorry for waiting" or "is this up to your satisfaction?" Interaction with 4 people and NOT ONE was polite or customer-service oriented. We have given DQ, and especially this store in particular, a great amount of business over the years, but I will go elsewhere. Too expensive, BBQ was cold and small(think McD's hamburger size), poor service, poor quality-control...did store...
Read moreAbsolutely terrible service every single time. They’re slow and not the least bit friendly. Last night, I had an experience that has turned me off of this location for good.
My boyfriend and I went in to order dine-in ice cream. No one greeted us. When someone did wander over to the register to take our order, she was not personable whatsoever. Which, all in all, not the end of the world - it’s a Dairy Queen, I don’t except 5-star service. But someone at least saying “hi” would be nice.
We ordered and sat down to wait for our ice cream. My boyfriend got his sundae, and I was told my cone would be right out. We waited… and waited. My boyfriend finished his sundae. I went to the counter to ask where my ice cream was. I was told it would be just a few more minutes, the soft serve was still too soft, or something like that. The girl was not the least bit apologetic, and was almost snickering.
I sit back down to continue waiting. Another five minutes or so goes by, and a different employee comes over to say they can’t make my cone, the vanilla is still too soft. He did offer an upgrade to a large chocolate cone, but I declined. I said I didn’t want anything else. The offer to upgrade was appreciated, but when I declined we were not offered a refund or an apology. The upgrade offer is the only reason I’m giving 2 stars instead of 1. It’s not their fault I didn’t want the upgrade they could offer me. But if they were having problems with their vanilla soft serve, I should have been told that when I ordered. On top of that, again, the service was awful, the employees clearly do not care about their jobs. Overall an absolutely awful location. We will not...
Read moreI keep forgetting about the evening staff at this dump, and every couple of months, I decide to give the place another shot. They do not care about keeping that place open. They will simply stop taking orders at the drive-thru hours before closing if they feel like it. They shut the sign light off and just stop, letting people just sit there waiting. On this most recent visit, it was not even 8PM yet when they decided to stop answering the drive-thru. It's supposed to close at 10...
When they do this, people with pickup orders are forced to walk inside to get their food. On a previous visit, they also locked the doors so I couldn't even go inside, and just hid. I had to call customer support and get a refund that time. This time, I stood in place under the Pickup Orders Here sign, waiting for someone to help me get my order for nearly fifteen minutes before the cashier was finally free to ask me what I needed. No less than five other employees just stepped around me (some multiple times), not saying a word. My order was right there behind the counter, getting cold that entire time.
When I got home, I found my order was cold and wrong. Ordered large cheese curds with my chicken strips. Got regular order of fries instead. But they taped the bag shut so it was a pain to look in and check prior to leaving, so I didn't notice before getting home. And my drink was almost all ice. Right to the top of the cup.
So, while I love DQ food, and this DQ is less than a mile away from my place, I don't think I'll be coming back. You should steer clear in the evening...
