Sari Sari Oriental Grocery — Local services in Mishawaka

Disappointed. First time I went to this place, you would expect they’ll treat you nice so you’d come back for more but no. Both the owner and the son (who’s at registry) are not people person. For someone who owns a business, you need to be friendly because it’s not just the goods a customer patronizes but the attitude of the staff as well. Been to a lot of Asian stores and personally met owners and they’re all very accommodating except this one. I guess they think they’re above others. Was asking the owner and its as if she was being disturbed. She was engrossed counting her cash, when I was just trying to give her more money for buying. Don’t give that damn attitude. Reason why I tried this Sari Sari place is because I was trying to explore the area and wanted to see what they have. Would definitely not going back to this place. If you are the type of person who wants to shop in a friendly atmosphere, this is not the right place for you. At least make the shopping time fun out of our busy life. It doesn’t cause a dime to smile and respond with respect when being asked. By the way, the son needs to pay attention to customers instead of being so busy with his phone. And the lady owner needs to buy more respect and consume it for her everyday use when she’s at her store. There are other Asian stores nearby that offers same goods with reasonable price and owners are very friendly and you can be sure you’ll be treated...

My fiance is Filipino and will more than likely be here on the Visa in March 2024. I found this place by accident was looking for some place that would have familiar food brands and items for her. This place was full of fruits vegetables meat more fish than you can shake a stick at sauces just anything that was Filipino. I was very very happy to find this place. The husband and wife that run it were very very polite very professional and seemed to be running a very efficient store. The prices were more than reasonable and I will be going back next Thursday as they apparently cook Filipino food on Thursdays and Fridays that you can buy. I am definitely looking...

I had a bad experience with this store and I would not recommend it. I spoke with the manager to pre-order taro leaves for a special occassion and eventually she ordered it and called me with a decent price over the phone. Sadly, when I came to the store, she double her price and saying to me the cost of shipment is expensive, and I told her so why did you said the price was $$ over the phone. I would've wasted my gas and time so I confront her. People said this store is good, but tbh the manager will increase their prices to some other customers to get their profits. This...
