CFX Mishawaka — Local services in Mishawaka

So I came to Indiana for work for an undisclosed amount of time . Bored as hell i decided to join a gym . I told the guy who was checking me in about my situation. He made it clear that I could get my 2nd month refunded if I was to return home . Well a few days ago I got the notice that I was going home so today I went up to the gym and asked for my 2nd month refund . I ended up speaking to the general manager who treated me like I was an idiot . Come to find out the original person who checked me in wasn't much qualified for his position so I am now out 30 bucks in wich I can't get a refund for 30days I haven't used. Justin Price the general manager talked to me like I had no concept of what was going on . He even said that this isn't walmart and I couldn't talk to anyone else but him , so I told him that charter gym misinformed me and that they had an incompetent person behind the counter. The general manager is not a nice guy at all and didn't seem to understand where I was coming from he acted like he couldn't do math and figure out what was owed to me . This gym apparently likes to misinform people about month to month policy's . I would have not joined the gym at all had I known about the real policy and feel like the told me what I wanted to hear so they could get me for my time I wouldn't be there I am now out 30 bucks and I would just like to note that Justin price is a complete prick. Do not go here unless you are looking to be a yearly member . They couldn't even put my name in the system right and they had my license to input information. Very rude and uneducated people run this establishment , plus their vending machines eat quarters and they roll their eyes at you when you say something . All in all the equipment is good, atmosphere is chill , but the Gm and staff are imbeciles trying to get you for your cash . Do not go here and rely on front desk staff they do not know what they are doing . Very angry at this...

I have been a member of CFX formerly known as Charter Fitness for a while. I haven't had any major issues until lately. Most of the staff there is friendly and eager to help you if in need. They are really good people to connect with. I am leaving this review because I just recently got my car vandalized while using the gyms facilities. This incident occurred during the morning hours with heavy traffic nearby. For safety reasons, I feel like this should be highlighted and people are aware of their surroundings. The gym does not have security cameras outside, so they were not able to catch the perpetrator that vandalized my car. I was instructed to go to the restaurant across the way and see if they picked anything up on their surveillance cameras. This incident had me contemplating canceling my membership. There was no real remedy for this except to park closer to the door.

I was contemplating again on whether or not to leave a review about my experience at CFX, but the manager at the gym made a big deal about some water I accidently spilled on the floor, so here we go.... The cleanliness of the gym is subpar especially the women's bathroom and shower area. I can attest to these things because I have experienced it. There have been days when there was no tissue, no soap, towel paper all over the floor, garbage cans full of garbage, unclean and filthy bathrooms, sewer flies all over the bathroom walls. This has been a major complaint amongst some of the women. I have made complaints before. Gyms are a breeding ground for bacteria and viruses. They need to hire a cleaning service STAT. I have more to say but I will stop here for now... Hope this...

I've been a member of this gym for going on 3 years now. I admit i rarely came the first year or so. I'm just now going back to the gym regularly and I'm glad i kept my membership for this gym. This branch is one of their newest gyms so everything is still in relatively good shape. Repairs seem to be done quick. There is a lot of space in this gym and it has a very open concept. Which i believe is it's key to attracting such a wide variety of clients. There is plenty of equipment to go around, but do expect some wait time during peak hours.

The staff here are great. Everyone is so nice and inviting. I haven't had any problems with the staff since Justin took over. If I do have any problems at all I speak with Justin directly and everything gets fixed immediately. The trainers and their classes are so fun. I always see a trainer working with a client no matter the time of day I'm there.

All in all this is a great gym. I will definitely continue to go and recommend...
