Optimus Toys — Local services in Mission Viejo

I won’t be going to Optimus Toys again anytime soon. They have expensive prices for what you get and some of the items they sell are even fake. I found it surprising that they were selling knock-off figures because they’re a retailer. A cat plush I bought that was somewhat large but more medium-sized was around $35. I’ve also bought three figures, two nendoroids (Snow Miku 2013/Yukata Miku) and a scale figure (Racing Miku 2012), and they were all fake. At the time, I didn’t know they were bootlegs. The quality of the nendoroids and the figure was not good and it was difficult to position them. Other red flags were that the faces were shiny and the Snow Miku Nendoroid’s box was not covered with the white band and plastic seal that surrounds it, as Good Smile Company explains how authentic figures include this. What’s even worse is that they were selling at the normal price Good Smile would sell them for, and luckily I managed to return one within a day after buying, the Snow Miku 2013 Nendoroid, because one of the arms was broken and unable to hold Miku’s parasol. This was about 1 1/2 years ago, when I was hardly aware of bootlegs, but now I look at the fake figures I bought and feel kind of mad at myself for falling into the trap of purchasing them. The worse customer service. It all started with no greetings as I walked into the store, two white families walked in after me and were greeted, I saw another Latino family walking in and just like me they were ignored. The associates then proceeded to followed me through the store ( because I was wearing a small backpack) and probably was racially profiled. When I passed by the associates I noticed they were whispering and then one of them made a signal with her eyes referring to me, that is when I asked her if she had a problem and she nervously said no. I will never be back in this store, I was going to buy a toy for my boy ( he was with me in the store ) but with this non existent customer service I loss motivation. I rather...

Beware if you have children, avoid this store unless you’re alone. The worst possible store manager in the world! He is old and has no patience for kids and complains clearly about every little thing. My daughter almost fell from a toy that was not placed properly and he complained that she’s hitting boxes. My boy was excited about a toy and to the manager, I needed to control my child. The sickest old man I have ever encountered. I’d rather go to Target or Amazon, better priced toys- this store is very OVERPRICED and it’s obvious it doesn’t belong in this great community.
