Worst tire buying experience in my life. I called Costco I ordered tires over the phone they said yes we have them come in and pay for them we can’t put them on today but you can pay for them then you can come in tomorrow at 9:15 in the morning stand outside and wait until we open at 9:45 and will get them put on for you tomorrow I said OK I went into Costco I showed the tire tech the photograph of the size of the tire that I needed along with the make and model of my vehicle and she sold me the tires I kept my receipt I came back the next day at 9:15 in the morning stood outside in sun zero temperatures for 30 minutes in line with several other people went inside dropped off my keys and I left I sat around waiting all day long for them to call me to pick up my truck 530 rolls around and I still hadn’t heard anything so I called them I said hey is my truck readyThey said Yep we just need you to pay for the tires when you get here I said I already paid for them they said OK bring your receipt so I go down there with my receipt to pick up my truck it’s supposedly has new tires on it and then the managers says oh it’s been sitting here all day we didn’t put new tires on it because we sold you the wrong size of tires. I said no one called me I’ve been sitting on waiting all day for my truck to be done so at this point I’m pretty upset because my truck doesn’t have the new tires on it that I paid for so then he says well maybe we can let’s see if we have the right size tire so this point he looks up and he doesn’t have the right size tire so now he says we could probably order it for you but they’re $100 more I said I’m not paying $100 more you’re going to pay it you’ve wasted so much of my time so he calls another manager that manager agrees to giving me the tires for the same price as they sold me the wrong tires for that is great Except for the fact that he can’t verify that he can actually order the tire so it might be a week before they get them in but he can’t verify that he can even actually order the tire I’ve wasted two days of my life trying to get tires from Costco so finally I have them credit my card back my whole week of travel is ruined due to the fact that A. they sold me the wrong tires B. my truck sat there for a whole day waiting for them to put tires on when they didn’t even have the right ones when I could’ve been shopping somewhere else to try to find a pair of snow tires and now I can’t travel across the state starting tomorrow morning like I’m supposed to be for my job thanks Costco you guys suck!! Not to mention now I have to go through this whole process with another company to try to get tires and for all I know it could take two more days to do that somewhere else the best part is the fact that you probably had the right size tires when you showed me the tires in the first place but since you waited a whole day they probably sold while my truck was sitting around waiting for the wrong tires to be put on! Worst tire experience ever I don’t care if I pay more money anywhere else if they can take an order for the proper tire and put it on my car I’ll gladly pay up to $1000 more for a set all the way around instead of wasting two days of my life with incompetent people in the department like the Missoula Costco tire...

THE TIRE CENTER IS THE WORSE IT HAS EVER BEEN IN YEARS!!!!! I usually get my tires at Costco no problem I have been getting them there for over 10 years now. In the last 2 years I have had the worse experience ever!!! This year buy far the worse! I ordered my tires online (like always) got my email confirmation saying they were in on friday and I set an appointment up for Monday. When I got there they told me they didn't have my tire there and that I would maybe get them in Tuesday or Wednesday. I get another conformation number on Wednesday they were in and was able to sneak an appointment in later that day. They have my car for over 4 hours and call me to come get them. I get in my car and my dash is reading an error which happens with new tires all the time (I fully understand that). They were already closing for the night and said if it was still on in the morning to come back. I wake up and my brand new tire is basically flat(enough to get me to costco and have them look at it) they put air in the tire and tell me I'm all good. My error code went off and I drove to work. I get off work and once again my tire is flat just like this morning. I drive back down to costco once again and get it looked at. They put air in the tire and says its good for sure this time and I should have no other problems. I leave to go to Kalispell the next morning stop at the gas station and get on to the highway get 10 miles outside of missoula and my error code comes back on!!!! Get out look at my tire and it doesn't look flat and I keep driving. I get to Polson and my tire is still okay. Get to a little town called elmo where cell phone service doesn't exist and my tire is 100% flat!!! I thankfully had a fix a flat in my car (which I now know you can not use and get your warranty back) because there is no way I could have called for a tow truck. Make it the rest of the way to Kalispell and i get there and explain to the people all of this. They tell me I now have to pay full price to fix the tire and that it isn't gonna be the same brand and that they will order me one for next week and I would have to pay full price for that one too!!! Im now 6 trips and 6 full price tires into the adventure now and i have never been so mad before!!!! This has been the absolute worse.

Missoula.....not...

Our family loves Costco - it our main source of groceries, home products and sporting goods. We have had our tires changed every season for the past 20+ years. Today I arrived at 9:45 am to get in line to have our winter tires put on. Costco let us in 15 minutes early, very nice and in line with their overall excellent service. I was 5th in line behind 4 people who had reservations (putting me first in line for walk ins) . I am now currently waiting to pick up my car at 9:45 pm. Did I mention Costco closes at 8:00 pm? It’s a bit cold ou as I am still waiting next to the tire centers garage due to the store being “closed.” Luckily only 50 degrees - could be worse. I should have worn a hat. Brrrrr…. Today I called the tire department at 3pm and was on hold for 20 minutes - when I stopped by at 6:30 pm to see if the 3-4 hour “expected wait” time was indeed that lucky. I was then told they might not get to it today. As I am waiting, I have heard workers yell out the f- word, son of a b-word , multiple time, nobody has asked me if I need any help, etc. It’s a sad day for Costco. I guess even reputable companies have weak spots in their system. Such a shame. I hope corporate gives the workers the help they need to insure this situation does not happen to another otherwise happy Costco member. I believe they were working as fast as they could - the just didn’t have the man power and/or experience to roll through their list for the day. When the car was finally ready Kimberly was the only one who apologize and seemed to care - it’s amazing how much one person who is kind can make a situation a little brighter in the end. It is...
