@Kathy&Jeff I typically don't write reviews, but my recent experience at Dillard's was so exceptional that I felt compelled to share it. My last visit to a department store was back in high school, around 2001. Recently, I was on the hunt for tomboy-style wedding attire, which can be a challenging task. My journey began in the shoe department, where I met Jeff. His assistance reminded me of the benefits of in-store shopping ā it felt luxurious to have someone so helpful. Jeff went out of his way to not only help me find one, but two pairs of shoes suitable for a woman who prefers men's styles. His approach never made me feel awkward, which I greatly appreciated.
My initial plan was to piece together a suit from H&M, but I still needed several items. On entering Dillard's, I was amazed by their selection. In the clothing department, Kathy greeted me. Her style advice was incredibly helpful, and she was a genuinely cool person to interact with. I gotta say, I looked pretty stellar. Over that month, I think I spent close to $1000, with half going towards the wedding attire.
A heartfelt thank you to both Kathy and Jeff. They are outstanding employees, and because of their exceptional service, Dillard's has become my favorite store. I'm sincerely grateful and look forward to my next visit. I hope this feedback reaches Dillard's management so that Cathy and Jeff's excellent service can be recognized."

Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went shopping in preparation for a trip to Italy. The guys in the shoe department were great and very helpful. I then asked where the dressier clothes were and they directed me to a different department where I dealt with Derian. I told her what I was planning for and explained that I was an 18/1x and was looking for dressy clothes. I asked her to pull appropriate items into a dressing room and she very willingly agreed and said it would be fun for her to do. After about 30-40 minutes, she had an entire rack of clothing for me to try on and set me up in a dressing room. Great service. Hereās the problem. There was one item that was in my size. Everything she had brought into the dressing room was a large, extra large, 14 or 16. She said that the manufacturers she was setting me up with ran large so I believed her and gave it a shot. To try things on that donāt fit , even when one knows the size of the garment is the problem, is very defeating, disheartening, and hurtful. I would have better appreciated if she had said that, in the store, they only carry up to a size 16 in dressier clothing and to check online. Instead, I had to go through the humiliation of trying on about 14 different pieces that didnāt fit. This was a waste of my time, energy, and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI've gone into Dillard's twice since moving to Missoula. I am a gender fluid "male" who wears "women's" clothing, makeup, and fragrances. Both times, I was met with a dismissive, hurtful, and aggressive attitude coming in with a cis female shopping companion innocently looking to make purchases just like everyone else. The first time, I went to smell a fragrance and a man immediately came up and barked "please do not spray any fragrances here". The second time, I was helping a friend to select a dress for a dance, and a woman jogged up and said "uh YOU are not allowed in there." Great, but offer an alternative, or some sort of apology or explanation, because I have been treated rude by your staff and will not be making purchases there anymore, in a community which I have found otherwise inclusive and not bigoted or culturally regressive. I don't know whether this is the Dillard's brand, or just this branch, or just the attitude of the two clerks in question. It certainly is damning to the brand as a whole. We the trans have fought and won this war, going on ten years now. While I've been this way my entire life, it is now widely recognized that this behavior, on your part, is unacceptable. Please boycott this anti-inclusion business until they get...
