I’ve been going to Textures Beauty Bar in Missouri City, TX for a few months now, and every single visit has been amazing. From the moment you walk in, the salon has that classic, nostalgic, inviting beauty shop feel you don’t find often anymore, warm energy, community vibes, and true professionalism.

Valencia, the owner, is an absolute gem! She’s passionate about what she does and it shows in every service. She truly has those “growing hands”, my hair hasn't felt this healthy in years. Every wash, steam treatment, and style is done with so much care, love, and attention to detail. You can feel her positive energy and see her passion shine through.

I have natural hair that is low porosity, low density, very fine, and fragile. When I came to Textures Beauty Bar, I specifically requested a silk press and trim, along with guidance to make sure I could start growing my hair healthier, fuller, and with more volume over time. Valencia listened carefully, took the time to understand my hair needs, and delivered exactly what I asked for. So far, so good—my hair feels light, healthy, and strong, and I can already tell I’m on the right track with her care.

The salon itself is beautiful, clean, and full of good energy. Everyone on the team is polite, friendly, and welcoming. They go the extra mile to make you comfortable and have drinks, snacks and wifi available, which makes the whole experience feel even more special. The atmosphere reminds me of the salons from back in the day where you’d get more than just your hair done, you’d get a whole experience.

I also love how efficient the service is. I’m usually in and out without long waits. Parking is plentiful and easy, which makes the trip stress-free.

I can honestly say I have nothing negative to share about my time here. Valencia and Textures Beauty Bar are officially my go-to for hair care in Missouri City. This was my first silk press and so I was a little nervous but Ms. Ashley was very sweet and welcoming. I’m very tender headed but she tried her best to do the process on top of me having very coily hair. She was very detailed and thorough with every time from washing to drying to pressing my hair. I did stay a bit longer than intended due to timing with another client but it all worked out in the end. I was very happy with my results and ofc all my friends loved my hair and was very excited. It turned out so beautiful especially with the curls!!! I love coming to Textures Beauty Bar. It is refreshing to be in a traditional salon environment with experienced well rounded stylists. Ashley does an amazing job literally on everything.
