Asian Market — Local services in Modesto

It was my second time going to this store the other day. At first visit I was not very happy because the cashier double scan my garlic I’m glad I was paying attention on what she’s doing and told her I only have 1 garlic so she cancel the other one. But the second visit which is the other day I purchased magicare sanitizing wipes 100 pcs and I sure check the price it was $3.99 do I purchase 2 of them. And when I get home I check my receipt I was shock they charged me $12+. So to make sure that the price was $3.99 I call them first and I talk to the guy and he confirm it was 3.99. And I said okay because I purchased yesterday and they charged me $12 and some change. And when I said that he said he gonna double check and when he comeback he said to me it was $6 something I was like what the heck. So today I return the wipes and I Check the price I was surprised the take the price down. So guys just watch out they might do it to you too. I know it’s not much but if they do that to all their customers then it’s bad. they are cheating on...

Tried the menu at the ‘soft opening’ of the Asian “k Asian”food stall. We had tried almost everything on the menu. Garlic noodles, fried egg roll,teriyaki chicken, Korean bbq ribs, bahn mi chicken sandwich, lemon grass chicken, and a mango smoothie with boba. We were going to do the steamed veg and Thai curry chicken but they were out.

Pros and cons, we liked the lemon grass chicken, teriyaki chicken , bbq Korean and the fried egg roll. The others not so much. The garlic noodles seemed lacking of garlic and flavor. The bahn mi sandwich was mostly bread and very little meat and condiments inside. The boba seemed to be non fresh fruit version and maybe from concentrate? Please correct me otherwise.

Like any thing these days the price was a bit high overall, but understandable. I will still comeback and sample the ones we missed and any new items in the future and assess.

This was my first time coming here. I love that Modesto finally has an Asian market with a large selection of Asian products. I was absolutely in heaven at your store. I really wanted to give 5 stars, but the level of professionalism of the young girls working at the front registers made me a little uncomfortable. I stood in front of your registers waiting while 3 young girls were having a conversation at one of the registers with themselves while I was just trying to just figure out which register to go to. They seemed extremely annoyed that I interrupted their conversation and gave me total silence through my whole transaction except for asking if I wanted a bag... it wasn't friendly at all. I will say this though. You had one girl on the floor working really hard while putting stock away quickly. She had really curly hair with faded pink dyed hair ends....
