Culture Coffee Bar — Restaurant in Modesto

I absolutely love coming here. The atmosphere, music, design and decor keep me coming back. The selection of live indoor plants is a welcoming sight to see which I don't feel too many other coffee shops do in this area. It's also refreshing to see drinks served in actually glassware and ceramic mugs upon request. The staff is very friendly and professional and never have I felt treated rudely or disrespected.

The only criticisms I may have is that the iced coffee drinks are very expensive, by far, than any other coffee shop I've been to in the area. If you choose to have almond or oat milk, you should be prepared to pay around $7+ per drink due to the $1 surcharge plus the other upcharges for syrup flavorings. I wish the black brewed coffee was a little better in taste and more information or details were provided about what type of roast or variety it was. I would order hot americanos over the brewed coffee if you are picky about taste like I am.

Other than that, this is a very great place to meet friends and coworkers, use the wi-fi for studying, or head to afterwards for a drink after working out at the gym next door which I see many patrons do. I feel lucky to know of such a great spot like this is...

I order a bagel, cream cheese, and a coffee to have in the shop while I did some online work. That was 45 minutes ago. Customers have came, ordered, and left with their drinks and I’m still waiting for it. I paid in cash and J didn’t get a receipt and I’ve gone to the pickup table multiple times just in case I didn’t hear my name being called for my order. Nope, nothing there. I think they forgot about my order and can’t bring themselves to ask me about it. For charging the prices that they do, I just expected better service. Also still haven’t gotten my drink. Ordered at 11:15 am and it’s currently 11:56, still no drink or damn bagel. If they did make it it’s probably cold by now. I’d rather go to Starbucks or Dutch bros next time. I’d skip this shop unless you have an hour or so to waste.

Our favorite place to spend a Saturday morning with our little one. It is so fun to see the place full of families and friends enjoying a slow morning together. Everyone is so friendly! The coffee is always great, we love trying the seasonal drinks. We do a 1/2 sweet vanilla or as our little one says “chocky” milk for our daughter. I really appreciate that the drinks are created with quality ingredients instead of processed bottled syrups and such. If you’re looking for that uber fast coffee thrown together, this is not for you. This is a drink handcrafted for you and you can taste the difference, indulgent!
