This side of town is more expensive for your everyday items, and I think it's because it helps keep the homeless people away. But no matter what you will find a few homeless people marinating because of the bus route they changed last year. It seems to me that wherever the bus route goes the homeless follow. All nice neighborhoods have to do is keep the prices higher at the store locations in the nice area and the homeless people will stay in midtown.
