Taco Bell — Restaurant in Modesto

Worst Taco Bell in existence, negative 5 stars! Went inside due to the cars lined up from the drive thru into the actual street, super unsafe, poorly designed, & this ends up blocking getting in and out of parking lot as well as impeding the East bound traffic. I would avoid Floyd ave at all costs in the 4-6pm time range. Went inside due to short line inside, placed order and sat down waiting for number to be called. Figured it would be a 10 minute wait since I ordered a big order to go and also since Taco Bell put's priority on the drive thru, so you can usually expect wait time to be double inside at any Taco Bell. So 15 minutes goes by and no food yet, it took another 5 minutes after that for me to get an employee to get the manager to find out what was going on. Timestamp on food ordered was actually a total of 25 minutes and manager looked at it then took receipt and went to line to see what was going on, she talked to the kid making tacos and then said yea it'll be up soon and then walked off, no apology or any type I am sorry for the wait or anything just a yea yea whatever look and then walks off. The staff....or more precisely the taller gentleman.....gosh can’t remember if he was a manager or not......anyhow 11-5-21 2:25pm approximately, I walked in and was the only customer inside, drive thru was packed and everyone was busy doing what they do to not notice me standing there, but this gentleman pays attention to his surroundings, which for many reasons, is a great quality to have but also shows preparedness in anticipation of the occasional walk in customer and giving quick reassurance that I would be helped shortly, which I was. A lot of small things like this don’t come naturally, or aren’t really taught but all add up to a delightful customer service experience. Sure....it’s a fast food joint and what’s the big deal, one would say but it’s because of that, the little things matter and going above and beyond one’s duties, should be acknowledged...

Drive thru service was well within the boundaries of acceptable time to consider it "fast food". Food was fresh, packaged correctly in the bag (hard shell tacos survived the packing and hand thru window) and they, like many other fast food locations seem quite insistent on handing both drink and straw at the same time which can be very frustrating, especially if you have any difficulty with your hands. There's a bag, put the straw in it! Was surprised they didn't ask about sauces (of which we forgot about them until getting to the park to eat), and there were none in the bag..but I guess they're being more conservative about handing them out instead of putting a couple of each in the bag like they used to. Overall good tacos, ingredients were fresh and they weren't slapped together as they had been in the past. Will...
