The Current 2 — Local services in Monona

I lived at the current 1 for a year and then transferred to the current 2 for a bigger space - I knew I wanted to stay at the current because of their awesome amenities and location. I love that it’s by buck and honeys which is 10/10 always for food and by True Coffee which has really good breakfast sandwiches and Frappuccino! They’re also very pet friendly - they have a mini dog park for the current 2 and a small turfed area for the current 1! They have waste bags for dogs available for anyone that needs it. They have a pet spa in the basement so it made it really easy for us to give our dogs a bath. The gym on both locations are also well cleaned and maintained. My favorite part is the pool area and the grill - you can rent the club house for a day and host a cook out party during the summer! Ashley and Angie also responds quickly whenever I have questions about anything. The maintenance workers are also the nicest people - you can easily put in a work order if you need something fixed and they’ll fix it right away the next morning. But overall the safety was the most important part for me, I have two small dogs and I can say that I feel safe walking them even late at night. Definitely recommend this place...

Nice, new building. Many restaurants and a grocery store very close. Easy access to the beltline either direction. Very quiet, other than the guy who drives by every night between 10PM and 1AM blasting his music. Nice pool/grill area, although it's not a swimming pool, it's more for relaxing in. Pet friendly, even has a dog wash area to give your pet a bath or even just a quick rinse from the mud! I do wish there were more areas with clean up posts, as all the dogs end up in the same area, which can be frustrating. It would be a 5 star if not for some design flaws. The screen door to the porch is on the inside, so if I want to let some air in, I have to open the screen to open the main door, which seems counter to the norm. And the showers are non standard height, so its a pain to find the right shower curtains. And the afore mentioned lack of dog...

I’ve lived here since it first opened and was happy to resign for another year! The location is awesome being right next to the lake and right on the bike path. It only takes me about 10 minutes to get downtown for work. I take walks in the morning and the nature around here is beautiful! Close to many parks. Maintenance staff is very friendly...
