Slightly overwhelming number of options and the menu doesn’t display clearly on my phone, so it’s a bit confusing to figure out what comes in which dish. So maybe give yourself a little extra time to navigate that.

All the set dishes have plenty of protein, so don’t pay the steep up charge for an additional protein unless you’re sure you want that. I got tempeh, which was pretty decent but honestly unnecessary.

Nice quality & balance of components & well plated, which is so crucial for this kind of food. Good clean, fresh greens.

I got a Mediterranean kind of bowl. The pita chips are not my bag. I love pita, but these are like a California type thing not middle eastern style. Which is fine if you like that, to me they are just extraneous carbs, pointless wheat confetti. They have no body or flavor to them, and seem kind of dehydrated, like a boxed health snack. I was hoping for fattoush type, delicious fresh fried pita chips.

The sourdough bread was also unnecessary, but at least it was quite tasty.

The kombucha options are delicious but very expensive. The vegan chocolate cookie was likewise delicious but too expensive for me to get it again.

Friendly & efficient service. I hope they unionize! I’ll be back all the time if...

Man oh man. I want to love forage but I have had enough of the mistakes and service, especially at this location. They forget the protein almost every time, which is made worse by the cost of adding protein, and when I say every time I mean every time. This most recent mistake was the last straw. Purchased a club med bowl with tuna poke ($7), and I bet you could guess what was missing in my bowl when I got home. In the past I have ordered bowls for my staff to feed them during orientation, 12 bowls total, 7 with chicken, and all 7 arrived without chicken.

Now let's talk service. I feel like a burden every time I walk through the door. The contempt for the customer is palpable upon entry. I have stood at the counter for 2 minutes without anyone acknowledging my existence. Thank you's and greetings are disingenuous.

That is all I have to say about that. Would love to be refunded for the poke tuna, but I can never get a hold of anyone...

I’m hoping the Monona location of Forage Kitchen can take this as constructive feedback. I usually look forward to visiting this Forage when I come from out of state to visit family. I’ve always appreciated Forage’s nutritional food and options. Unfortunately, the employees and atmosphere are lacking at the Monona location. Each time I have visited this location, the employees have been crude and unfriendly to me. The atmosphere doesn’t feel friendly, welcoming or hospitable. Same goes for the employees. I’ve visited Forage multiple times. I decided this would be the last time because of how rudely the employees treated me, yet again. I probably won’t give the other locations a try because of this experience, either. Just left a bad impression on me and my family for the company and how they run their business and who they hire to represent them. Maybe consider teaching your employees some interpersonal communication skills and...

I’ve heard soo many wonderful things about Forage on Monona, but unfortunately the customer service was awful. This was my first time ever trying Forage and I wasn’t knowledgeable about everything they had to offer, so of course I had a few questions regarding the food, especially considering I have food allergies. The staff acted as if this was high school, and were making faces when I asked questions, again THIS IS MY FIRST TIME. Then they proceeded to act as if I was pestering them, and treated me in a unfavorable manor. The whole experience was just intimidating, stressful and I’m extremely disheartened with everything. Maybe there needs to be a diversity inclusion provided for this location.

I've been to several of Forage's locations and I think this is my favorite. It's usually poppin' at lunch time, but they have ample seating. I love the whole aesthetic of the space. Their salads and grain bowls are top notch - my go to is the Thai bowl. I got the Cashew bowl during my most recent visit, and it was good but the Thai bowl is better. The employees at Forage are always nice and they put bowls together pretty quickly. I love that Forage supports local farms and locally sources their ingredients. Forage is a bit pricey but the food is definitely worth it! 🥗

I am so pleased to have a restaurant in my neighborhood which offers food that is miraculous both healthy, delicious, and based locally! New favorite restaurant for sure... I cannot stand cilantro which was listed as an ingredient with the Thai Curry Grain Bowl, but because everything is prepared fresh it wasn't an issue. The lentil "meatballs" were just a wonderful protein addition as well. The aesthetic if the place (inside, front, back) is phenomenal as well with just a lovely ambiance. Great place, I will definitely be going back!
