My doctor is awesome, but this system and this corporation are absolutely the bottom of the barrel. UW-Health is a garbage organization that treats patients like numbers. Simple administration tasks are done incorrectly more than half the time. One such example is me having to change my address from an address I lived at 10 years ago at each of my last three visits. Yet I’ve been receiving mail from these people at my current address for 10 years. No big deal, but definitely a symptom of a failing organization. Doctors are quitting left and right. Many people are dying because they can’t get in to see anybody in time. This organization is constantly looking for ways to screw the providers and guilt-trip them into seeing more people in the same amount of time, which obviously leads to worse outcomes. Providers are also expected to do their charting and notes off the clock (which is illegal). I for sure hope UW-Health sees this and contacts me, but I know UW-Health ignores all communication, regardless of whether you’re trying to schedule an appt, or dispute a bill. The absolute worst place for healthcare in...
Read moreRealizing I had a serious enough situation that required i spend money on co-pay and gas to come in only to be told "Sometimes things just pop out as we age" without any further diagnostic is concerning. At the visit it seemed light and humorous and matched the tone of our conversation. As the visit ended and I realized THAT was the diagnosis was upsetting. I've spent the last 12 hours debating why I didn't advocate further for myself. This wasn't my regular physician and was going to remain silent as not to offend or make waves but then UW sent a request to make this review. I've always had wonderful experiences with the staff and this visit was no different with the exception to the "pat on the head" response. Deeply concerned that this visit is matching similar experiences had through out UW Health system over the past...
Read moreI felt heard and lots of compassion and awareness from Dr. Rindfleisch. He listened and understood that I wanted to know what was happening with my knee and checked it out and ordered an X-ray. I believe that I told him I was going to a PT who I think he knew. I did follow up with that PT and am amazed that my knee appears to be healing well and I’m doing so much better than I had been even before the injury. While the X-ray showed some osteoarthritis, I don’t feel the pain or tightness from it. Many thanks and I did respond to a follow up from staff and Dr Rindfleisch in an update on My Chart which I appreciated so much. 🌻...
