We really enjoyed going out for Veterans Day 2022 at this Red Robin. Very family friendly and I was very happy with my free order of Red's Tavern Double and bottomless fries! (Pictured here in this review) I had several baskets of their house fries and I'll tell you what, they were piping hot baskets of deliciousness with seasonings that were borderline addictive. They even leave a shaker bottle of that stuff and a ketchup bottle on the table to make the fries even more addictive, if that's even possible! And it's a good thing I ordered the bottomless rootbeer floats too because yeah, I drank down those too! đ I ate like 3 servings of fries and 3 floats and they never flinched and kindly thanked me for my service several times and were very sincere in taking time to answer my wife's menu questions prior to her ordering. Our service was great so we tipped nicely and paid on the tabletop tablet with our credit card which is very convenient for us. Our Veterans Day "date night" was a success. They definitely make burgers extremely delicious if not better than every other place nearby. I didn't have their pizza (nor did I have enough room in my stomach) but I am wanting to try it so I can check out their ability to do both with quality otherwise I would've given 5 đ 's!
If your interested about my scoring method... (It's NEVER anyone's fault that they don't get 5 stars. Some of my life's previous experiences and knowledge base stems from working in large and small kitchens,(including military) bakeries, hotel restraunts, to name just a few accomplishments... Because of that, I need to have an impression of various things. That can amount to that destinations' post having a long gap and a period of time for me to follow-up on my expectations and checking their possible advertised accomplishments and differences in (foods, if applicable) over a sometimes again, extreme period of time. It showcases that consistency and excellence are within the eatery (or location) abilities and that I'm able to be posting as such to those facts and that it deserves the best rating possible to my matched experience of abilities.) Hope that unravels...
Read moreWe went to Red Robin on Sunday to grab lunch. I ordered the guacamole burger. When it came out, there was little to no guacamole. No problem I thought, just ask for more on the side. We had to flag down the waiter after 5+ minutes of sitting there because no one checked on us. After bringing it to his attention, he said he would bring some more out and started walking away in a frustrated, hasty manner. We tried to stop him as he walked away to ask for more drinks and he said sure. We then tried to stop him again during this same exchange and ask for more fries. He turned and said okay and kept trying to walk away, but we didn't even have everything we needed. The last party member tried to ask for more of her side and he kept walking. We see him slam some menus into the menu holder by the host.
After 3 or so minutes, the guacamole came out, so now the burger has been sitting for around 10+ minutes and is now room temperature. It was flavorless, bland and quite pathetic for a chain that claims they have amazing burgers. For $10, it should have been a much better burger. It was the worst burger I can remember eating in the last few years. We were able to then ask him for our side of broccoli, which he just replied "sure", without any hospitality or sincerity. The broccoli then came out in about 10-15 minutes, after we were all done for our food. The manager did come out and apologize for the wait for our side of broccoli, and seemed sincere. I wish she was our waitress because we probably would have had a much better experience.
The only time we received service was when we had to ask for it. Other than once, we had to keep asking for our refills. Even when we waited for the check, we found ourselves just sitting there without any attention. It was the first time in a very long time I have tipped below 15%, this service was abysmal. I feel I could have made a "how to give poor customer service" video and used it to train servers on the don'ts of hospitality. This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a restaurant and probably the last time I will ever willingly dine at...
Read moreI am traveling in Wisconsin for work and staying in a nearby Hotel and Red Robin is literally across the street and since I have enjoyed their location in Fairview Heights, Illinois, I thought I would give it a go here. I went there Sunday night, ordered the Smoke and Pepper burger and the Cesar salad, petite portion. The salad was good, chicken on it fine but the Smoke and Pepper burger was a bit burnt. I felt it was a fluke and so when on Tuesday night I decided to go again but this time ordered a regular bacon cheeseburger and the petite Cesar salad again. The burger was good this time but I was really surprised to find the salad was missing any dressing or parmesan cheese. The server got me a cup of dressing and a cup of cheese but when I started to eat the salad, the chicken seemed off. I waited a good amount of time, also wanting a refill on my very berry limeaid drink. They took the chicken off and offered me a free desert and finally after another wait got my limeaid refilled. I ordered the mud pie but insisted on paying for it (company was paying for it anyways) and I had it put into a to go container. When I left, I had to stop at the front desk to ask for a plastic spoon. The girl told me, you can just eat it when you get home. I laughed and told her that would be several days since I am traveling and told her I was staying in a hotel. She went to check and came back a few minutes later and told me they were all out of plastic utensils and wouldn't have any in for a few days and literally just seemed to check out until I turned to leave. I ended up going to the P&S to get some utensils so I could eat this mud pie which was not as good as I had hoped because of a fairly negative...
