I did really enjoy shopping at this country market. But today I had an unfortunate experience with them. I came in last week, and they were out of no sugar added cherry jam. So this morning, before driving all the way out there, I called to ask if they had it. The young lady who answered the phone went to check, and said they were still out. She offered to take my name and number, and call me when it was back in stock. I thought that was very nice of her. While she was getting my info, I overheard a gentleman in the background asking her what she was doing. They talked for a few seconds, and then she told me that if I came in this afternoon, they would have it. Great. I got there at 3pm. No jam. I asked the young lady at the register, and even though she sounded exactly like the lady I spoke with on the phone, she said she didn't know anything about it. She told me to find the manager, that he was somewhere in the store. Someone needs to tell her that SHE should have found the manager. I did finally find him. As soon as I started to tell him the story, he knew who I was. He just said that he hadn't had time to go pick up the jam at the warehouse. I told him that I only made the special trip because he said they would have it if I came this afternoon. I asked what time it would be there, thinking I might wait. He said that even if he went to get it now, he probably wouldn't be back before the store closed. He casually apologized, but that's not good enough. He told this young lady not to take my name and number, but instead to just tell me to come in today. I wasted a couple of hours of my time. I guess they don't really care, since there's no other store in the area like them, there's no competition. It seems the manager is in need of some basic customer service training. In the future, I'll go to Ashery Farms in Heath instead. It's a little further for me, but prices are better, and the store is managed more...

Read moreStopped in here to eat some lunch. Eeek!!! Never again!! It was SO BAD! I ordered a chicken salad sandwich on tomato basil bread with lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles. I was eating in the restaurant. I paid for my sandwich. Picked it up at the other window. It was wrapped in sandwich wrap. It had no chesse or tomato. It looked as though it was literally all thrown onto the bread. It was a mess. I went to the counter to ask for cheese and a tomato slice and a plate to eat my sandwich on since I was dining in. The tomato was sliced so thin that all I received of it was the outer piece, no guts. The lettuce was old and wilted. I cut my sandwich in half and took my first bite. The bread was stale and hard. Ugh. The whole thing was just terrible. Unfortunately for me I didn’t get any lunch as this was not edible. Also, NO ONE WORE GLOVES! Terrible...
