Mall security manager was an older female , I did not get her name. She was absolutely disrespectful and insulting to my 79 y/o father and myself a healthcare worker. I have a great deal of people to share my story and experience with. Good experience people rarely talk about. However, Rude and disrespectful travels fast in a small town. My 79 y/o father had just had to drive to charlotte to have several cardiac test and CT scans all of which he had to go and travel himself because COVID-19 . He was exhausted and had to stop at the mall because he was feeling weak and could not make it to Monroe hospital area where I worked so I met him there. I ordered him chick fil a before I realized they had no seating what so ever at the mall, not even spaced out. We tried to stand at an open countertop because when I asked him if he wanted to sit down the the restaurant next to Chick-fil-A he said that’s not right since we had not ordered our food from them. Had we realized we could have sat down we would have ordered from them. My Dad was getting more weak that even talking was becoming effort .. So right next to us in a open space but lights out was a pizza place , I just grabbed him a chair quick so he could sit down. I sat down next to him. (Social distancing in our mind) I had hospital grade wipes in my purse so I wiped the space down before we sat and intended on after we left. However, this security manager discovered us first , and rushed in hollering at us as if we broke through doors to rob the dang empty Resturant. I was trying to explain to the extremely rude non -Sensitive person. Hey, my dad is 79 he just needed to sit a minute we planned on wiping everything down. She was too damn busy telling us what we should have done. Walked further away then we were and sit in a restaurant and eat food we didn’t purchase from them, as she is literally yelling at us to get out!!! And when I went to wipe and put the chairs back she yells again” just stop and get out, you could hurt yourself” well sadly with all going on in the world today. That a sweet, precious harmless 79 y/o man get humiliated and escorted out of a mall for sitting off away from people to rest and talk to his daughter, and that can’t happen peacefully.. then what the Hell is this world coming too. Malls are dying and now I know why. I will not for any reason step make into the Monroe , NC mall I will not spend a dime of my money there. Disgusting behavior by this manager, setting a terrible example for the kind hearted guard who talked to me later and stated he figured it was I said said and I was just trying to take care of my tired dad ...I will send letters to the management company. They need zero tolerance for Any employee that is verbally abusive to sweet...
Read moreMonroe Crossings is a shopping mall located on 74 in Monroe. It's a smaller shopping mall, but has very functional stores. It includes a Belks, Jcpenney, Bath and Body Works, Shoe Department, Joann's, Rose's, and many more stores. There is a small food court located in the center of the mall. The food court includes a Chickfila. At Christmas time, there a Santa Clause set up in front of the Jcpenney store and a set up for pictures with Santa. There is also a picture area set up at Easter to get pictures made with the Easter bunny. This mall holds a small town shopping center vibe, but is still a great place to find deals. Belks has a large selection of Women's clothing. They carry a small collection of vineyard vines clothing for both men and women. Belks has a large purse section carrying Michael Kors, Kate Spade, and Coach purses and wallets. Belks also has a good selection of children's clothing ranging from infants all the way up to juniors. Belks is a great store to find something for the entire family. Along with clothing, they also carry shoes, kitchen essentials, home decor, bedding, and luggage. They also have a great selection of Christmas decorations. If you're looking for a good place to go Black Friday shopping, Belks is great place to go. They always have great deals and it's a one stop shopping trip. I would highly recommend a Belks shopping card to get better deals and a percentage off...
Read moreVisited JoAnn fabrics and more. Way over priced and second time I've been in 6 months, only bc I was in a pinch and didn't want to drive into Matthews. False advertising always. My daughter wanted to buy a pair of Christmas socks for her and a friend that was at the register. Buy one get one free was advertised for $6, they rang up as $12 and when I asked were they not on sale, the girl said the rang up as regular price. I told her the sign is right here and says BOGO, she walked over stood there for 45 seconds and said oh that ended 2 days ago!!! I was aggravated bc it was false advertising, they didn't honor their advertising and my 11yo who was using her own money was bummed. This is the second time I've experienced this in 6 months. So make sure to read the fine print while...
